Last week saw us stretching, reaching to the sky in our sun pose and reaching out over our babies in swan pose, either way these moves are great for releasing tensions, whilst stretching out not only your babies but your back muscles, here’s some of our wonderful mummy’s doing just that. ☀️ 🦢

Our Baby Bumpkin Yoga sessions are a beautiful way to support both baby and mummy’s wellbeing 🤱🧘‍♀️
Gentle mum & baby yoga helps strengthen the bond between you and your little one while encouraging your baby’s physical development through movement, touch, and interaction. At the same time, it supports mums by improving flexibility, easing tension, and creating a calm moment to reconnect with your body after birth.

Our sessions are relaxed and welcoming — you’re free to join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. It’s a lovely space to move, breathe, and enjoy special moments with your baby while meeting other mums too.

Last week saw us stretching, reaching to the sky in our sun pose and reaching out over our babies in swan pose, either way these moves are great for releasing tensions, whilst stretching out not only your babies but your back muscles, here’s some of our wonderful mummy’s doing just that. ☀️ 🦢

Two years ago I took a leap of faith and started my own children’s yoga business — and I haven’t looked back.

Today, on International Women’s Day, I’m feeling especially proud. Proud to be a woman, proud to run my own business, and proud to inspire the next generation of girls through yoga.

In our classes we don’t just practise yoga poses — we build confidence, self-belief, resilience, and kindness. Tools that help young girls grow into strong, powerful women.

Here’s to lifting each other up, supporting women in business, and empowering the next generation. 💜

For those new to our classes….

We work in terms! 💚

This term is green term where we will meet lots of animals along the way on our adventures and the story part of our sessions encapsulates the child whilst doing yoga.

How nice was it to see the sun shining last week!! 🌤️
Let’s hope for some more of that this week ready for spring…

In our classes this week we will be practicing our Rabbit jumps as Tatty & Baby Bumpkin join in the ‘Great Spring Animal Games!!’ 🐰🥇

Rabbit pose is an excellent prewriting activity as it strengthens the shoulders and helps build the muscles necessary for good pencil control for older children, for our babies it’s a key pose for helping to tighten tummy muscles, introducing a new feel or texture on feet whilst strengthening & lengthening leg muscles.

We’ve got our tickets ready for the spring games 🌷🎟️

Pose of the Week: 🐧PENGUIN🐧

With last week being half term, we missed pancake day in class……so what better than our story about penguin & the pancake 🥞.

We’re off to the chilly South Pole this week to find PENGUIN and teach him how to make Pancakes, I hope you all had a flipping fun time last week with yours. 🥞❤️

But in yoga will the children be able to carry their eggs on their feet without them cracking on the floor for the mix? It’ll be fun trying as they waddle like Penguins.

Without realising it, they will be:
❄️Improving their balance by walking just on their heels
❄️stretching their calf muscles, especially beneficial for children you tend to walk on their tiptoes
❄️developing their co-ordination - it really is quite hard to balance an ‘egg’ on your feet and then try to waddle!
❄️improves overall posture by engaging tummy muscles

I’m Charlotte a busy mummy to 4 beautiful children, I work as a freelance Fashion Designer and also run Tatty Bumpkin south Northants.
When the fashion industry took a hit in Covid, I found a love of something new something rewarding and it allowed me to give others the tools and skills to utilize something I had mastered and loved personally myself.

But these beautiful children of ours need all the help they can get right in this big crazy world?
So I thought what better way than Yoga giving them strategies for their future mental wellbeing 🧘‍♂️.
And here i am, just me, myself & I juggling whilst my husband is there as my constant sound board with all my wonderful ideas and developments to bring you.

I am so passionate about nurturing the next generation and am learning everyday, with this in mind I think it’s highly important to have quality time with your child, we know all too well how hard it is to find that time and our classes allow you to connect, bond and take time out of your day together.

Every wonderful booking, every review, every share goes a very long way and I love meeting new faces, babies & children and seeing the joy our classes bring to your day.

Our classes are busy and filled with love and attention which gives you time to connect and bond with your babies.
The sessions include gentle stretches for parents and every session ends in relaxation to encourage feelings of calm! Improving sleep patterns and aiding digestion, are among just some of the benefits.

At Tatty Bumpkin South Northants we teach a wide range of children's yoga classes! 🧘‍♀️
Here's a little more about what we offer!

🔹Baby Bumpkin- for ages 6weeks-2years. At- Moulton Library - Health and Wellbeing Hub
We teach multi sensory sessions focusing on physical development,bonding and communication. Incorporated with stories and music to boost sensory skills,aid digestion and encourage relaxation.

🔸Tatty Bumpkin - For ages 2-7 years.
At Moulton Library - Health and Wellbeing Hub
Tatty Bumpkin classes are fun, yoga-inspired stories designed to encourage movement and enhance development!

🔸We also teach this programme within several Nurseries, Pre-Schools and Schools (EYFS & KS1).
Other options we can provide within schools include After School clubs, SEN support sessions, Exam support sessions and Mindfulness programmes.

🔹We can offer Parent/Child sessions at, including Family Yoga and Home-School Yoga.

🔸We are also able to offer 1:1 sessions within your home to focus on your child's specific needs.

A healthy mind is kind…

We are supporting Children's Mental Health Week - 9th-15th February.

This year's theme is 'This is My Place' and our story this week is with Dolphin who feels different from all his friends 🐬

We will be thinking about how we are all different from each other, we look different, sound different and can do different things, and that's ok. We still all belong together and are part of the same community 🫶

However I’ve worked out that at Children Inspired by Yoga it’s Children’s Mental Health Week every week! We deliver our weekly yoga and mindfulness programme in libraries, schools and nurseries to support healthy bodies and minds and provide essential tools for learning and for life.

Each week we lead children (and their teachers/parents) with mindfulness tools to support their emotions and deal with difficult situations which might arise. Our bodies and minds are connected and through mindful movement we promote body confidence, self esteem and a healthy lifestyle whilst children develop strength, flexibility, balance and co-ordination. We work as a team to support each other in an inclusive and non-judgemental way. Through our adventures with Tatty Bumpkin and Baby Bumpkin we explore healthy diets, being active and tools to promote sleep and digestion.

We are excited to visit additional schools and settings this week as we deliver some special workshops as part of Children’s Mental health week.

This weeks pose of the week is Gloomy Cloud. ☁️

Recognizing mental health awareness week. 🧠

Not only does it help us to explore feelings of sadness, but we practice touching our nose with our eyes shut. This helps us develop our Proprioceptive sense. 🧘
