⭐£10,000 donation towards a new weight carrying horse!⭐
It is with great pleasure we can announce that the Cavalier Centre has received a cheque of £10,000 on behalf of the Mark Benevolent Fund, presented at our recent AGM by R.W.Bro. Kevin Spencer, the Provincial Grand Master for Staffordshire and Shropshire Mark Master Masons.
Pictured accepting the cheque on behalf of the Board of Trustees are Dennis Hill, Trustee of the MBF and Secretary of The Cavalier Centre, and Selina Graham, Chair of The Cavalier Centre.
"Since its creation in 1995, the then Perry Riding Group for the Disabled has grown in size – both in terms of buildings and land but crucially, in numbers of participants that they are able to support. In 2019 the Centre moved to its current purpose-built premises which was opened by HRH the Princess Royal. Since then, the Centre has become a beacon of hope for participants and their families navigating the complexities for those with physical and other disabilities.
The grant from the MBF follows previous support from local Freemasons. The donation of £10,000 will provide funds for the purchase of a horse capable of carrying heavier riders thereby increasing opportunities to a wider group of beneficiaries within the community."
This generous donation is earmarked for a larger horse that can extend out weight carrying capacity and allow us to broaden our riding offer! We will keep you posted 🐴☺️
