There’s a myth that therapy is for people who are really struggling. Who are at rock bottom. Who can’t cope.

But some of the most meaningful therapeutic work happens with people who are functioning - on paper - just fine.

People who are:

~ Tired in a way they can’t quite explain
~ Feeling disconnected from themselves
~ Carrying something they’ve never said out loud
~ Aware that something has to change before it gets worse

You don’t have to be falling apart to deserve support.
You just have to want something different. 🤍

What is EFT and why does it work for anxiety?

EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping - sounds a little unusual until you try it. Then it usually makes complete sense.

Here’s the simple version:

Your anxiety, your stress, your fear - these aren’t just thoughts.
They’re stored in your body as physical charge.
You feel it in your chest, your throat, your stomach.

EFT works by gently tapping on specific acupressure points on the body while you name and acknowledge what you’re feeling. This sends a calming signal to the amygdala - the part of your brain that’s running the alarm.

The result? The charge drops. Often surprisingly quickly.

I use EFT as part of an integrated approach - alongside therapeutic modalities, somatic practices and hypnotherapy - because when we work with both the mind and body, the change goes deeper. 🤲🏽

Have you ever tried EFT? I’d love to know your experience. 👇🏽

Behind the scenes - at Home Farm studio

This is where the work happens 🌿

My wellness studio at Home Farm is a space I’ve thought carefully about - because the space matters. Where you feel held physically, affects how safe you feel to go inward.

It’s quiet here. Private. Set in the Shropshire countryside.

Whether you come for an in-person session, a therapeutic yoga practice, a Bowen Therapy treatment, Hypnotherapy or a full retreat day(s) - this is your space while you’re here.

No waiting rooms. No background noise. Just time that’s genuinely yours.

Individual counselling online UK-wide and in-person here at Home Farm. Retreats for individuals and couples. Counselling & Psychotherapy coming in May 2026 🤍

What grief can look like (maybe it’s not what you think)

We tend to think grief looks like crying.
Like stillness.
Like obvious sadness.

But grief often shows up as:
~ Irritability that comes from nowhere
~ Exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix
~ A strange flatness, like colour has drained from life
~ Laughing too hard and then feeling guilty about it
~ Going through the motion while something inside feels hollowed out

Grief isn’t only bereavement.
It’s the loss of a relationship.
A job.
A version of yourself.
A future you thought you’d have.

If any of these sound familiar ~ you’re not alone.
You’re not broken ~ You’re grieving.

And grief ~ in the right space & in the right time ~ can be transformative 🤍

Grief and Loss - There is no Right way to Feel 🤍

While grief is commonly associated with death, loss can take many forms - loss of a relationship - loss of health - loss of a future you once imagined 🤍

There is no correct way to grieve - no timeline you should be following 🤍

Go slow and lean into self-compassion 🤍

If you are navigating grief or loss - you don’t have to do it alone 🤍

I currently offer integrative wellbeing support and will be opening counselling services later this year. You’re welcome to explore this space gently or email me to join the waitlist if you would like to be notified when counselling becomes available 🤍
