10 Years of Believing
A quick reminder as our 10-year journey continues…
Edge was built on belief.
Belief in capability.
Belief in progress.
Belief that young adults who have learning disabilities, are autistic and/or have additional support needs deserve ambitious, real-world opportunities.
That belief still shapes every programme, every qualification and every outcome today.
We thought we’d brighten up your feed with some epic moments from yesterday’s adventure to Blackness Castle — and what a day it was. Blue skies, big views and a proper step back in time.
Some info on the castle - Known as “the ship that never sailed”, this 15th-century fortress sits proudly on the Firth of Forth and has played its part in royal history, military defence and even the odd TV appearance.
Trips like this aren’t just about getting out and about. They’re about discovering local and national history, navigating new environments, building confidence and sharing experiences that stick.

Independent travel is a key foundation for work and adult life. Travel training supports young adults to plan journeys, manage time, solve problems and travel with confidence — skills that open access to learning, work and community opportunities.
Our programmes blend practical life skills and meaningful experiences, delivering specialist social care support with recognised, certified outcomes, in a supportive environment where every young person can grow, participate and thrive.
Skiing might have been off the cards today thanks to the school half-term schedule — but that didn’t stop the adventure for our groups!
Instead, the groups headed for the Pentlands and took on a walk at Loganlea Reservoir. And honestly? What a swap.
Blue skies. Crisp air. Epic views stretching across the hills. Wildlife spotting along the trail. A few rosy cheeks from the chill — but plenty of laughs to keep everyone warm.
Because life doesn’t always stick to the timetable. Learning how to flex, reset and still have a brilliant day? That’s a skill.

🇨🇦 Why are we celebrating Nova Scotia from Scotland today?
Because it’s Nova Scotia Heritage Day — and that’s where our pen pals are!
Heritage Day is a provincial holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February. It recognises the people, cultures and stories that have shaped Nova Scotia over time.
And since we’re lucky enough to have pen pals at Corridor Community Options , it feels only right to mark the occasion with them.
From Scotland to Nova Scotia.
Different places. Shared values. Strong communities.
Happy Heritage Day to our friends across the Atlantic — we’re celebrating with you today 🎉
For some young adults, the first pathway after school simply isn’t the right environment. Confidence dips. Routine slips. Direction feels unclear.
Our Life Programme (20–35) offers structured specialist social care, real-world experience and recognised accredited outcomes — designed around how individuals learn best.
Referrals for July close 29 May.
If you’re supporting someone who feels stuck, this might be the right conversation to have.
This week’s kitchen mission for the programme groups?
Nando’s Rice + a KFC “Fakeaway”.
Because let’s be honest — takeaways are great as a treat… but the price? And the mystery ingredients? Not so great.
So we did what we do best. We made it ourselves.
Cost = a fraction of the real thing
Taste = epic
Good food. Smart choices. Skills that actually matter.

Olympic-inspired and fully committed 🥌
Floor curling = new sport, new skills, plenty of laughs.
Trying something different builds confidence, teamwork and the courage to give it a go — even when it’s unfamiliar.
Safe to say… we’ve got some hidden talent in the building 👀🥌

We’re absolutely delighted to celebrate another epic achievement from our team 🎉
Huge congratulations to Adam, one of our Support Workers, who has successfully completed his SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare 👏
This is a fantastic milestone and a real credit to the commitment, professionalism and care Adam brings to his role every single day. Gaining this qualification isn’t just about adding letters after your name — it’s about deepening knowledge, strengthening practice and continually raising the bar for the support we provide.
At Edge, we make a big deal about our team — and rightly so. Our programmes are only as strong as the people delivering them. The high-quality social care support our participants receive is built on skilled, reflective, motivated staff who keep pushing themselves to grow.
Adam, this is thoroughly deserved. We’re proud to have you on the team — and proud of the example you set.
Onwards and upwards 🚀
