The problem isn’t just the symptom, it’s the root cause.
Acupuncture works by helping your body rebalance from within, rather than chasing the same issue over and over.

Many people come to acupuncture after they’ve “tried everything else”, and they’re often surprised at how much better they feel, in ways they didn’t expect.

When you’re ready for a fresh approach, we’re here.

Did you know Kate Middleton used acupuncture during her pregnancy — and also as part of her cancer journey?

Acupuncture is increasingly being recognised for its supportive role in both physical and emotional wellbeing — from pregnancy care to navigating serious health challenges. 💛

✨ From easing nausea and anxiety during pregnancy, to helping manage pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, emotional distress, and more during cancer treatment — acupuncture can be a safe and supportive option alongside conventional care

At the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC), we’re committed to ensuring our members are at the forefront of safe, effective, and evidence-informed care.

Recently, we hosted a specialist CPD course with Robin Sunley, an acupuncturist working within the NHS oncology setting, helping practitioners understand how to work confidently and ethically with people going through cancer.

Our aim? To help AAC members stay at the top of their game — and to give their patients the very best support possible. We know how supportive and transformative acupuncture can be.

We wish the Princess of Wales - and everyone navigating their own health journey - all the very best. You are not alone.

Acupuncture is gaining popularity as a natural method of promoting gut health. The practitioners seek to promote the body's self-healing mechanisms and restore equilibrium by focusing on particular acupuncture points to promote a healthier gut by regulating the nervous system, lowering inflammation, and enhancing digestive function.

Scientific research shows, acupuncture may have an impact on the gut-brain axis, a sophisticated network of communication that connects the central nervous system and the gut. This relationship can be highly useful for treating ailments like constipation, bloating, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Acupuncture also helps minimize symptoms and enhance overall digestive function by encouraging relaxation and lowering stress, which is a common cause of digestive problems.
Additionally, acupuncture increases blood flow to the digestive organs, which can promote nutrient absorption and lessen gut lining inflammation. It has been demonstrated to control gut motility, assisting in preserving the digestive tract's normal rhythm. Acupuncture provides a non-invasive alternative for people looking for a comprehensive approach to gut health, along with dietary and lifestyle changes.
Regular, targeted, acupuncture sessions can greatly enhance gut health and general well-being.

💛 World menopause day today ladies. Thank goodness we can talk about this thing now🙏

I always feel for the women before us who quietly had to get on with it😭 It seems like hot flushes were the only thing that was acceptable to talk about in the past, but the symptoms can be life changing.

People give up their jobs, lose relationships, lose sleep, there's serious body aches, memory loss and brain fog😬 migraines, mental health issues, anxiety, vaginal dryness and pain during s*x, fatigue, dizziness, skin changes, weight gain...and many more symptoms women have to deal with. These symptoms can creep up on you so slowly you have no idea. Many women are still looking after kids/ teens and possibly parents, as well as managing their careers in the midst of all this

Getting help can be overwhelming when lots of the medical profession is in the dark about the complexities of menopause🤪 and the NHS are struggling. Hormonal balance is so complicated and is interdependent on many of the bodies systems, of course.

🙏There's no shame in taking HRT! Your body is loosing hormones rapidly and it fluctuates day to day. I've always tried to do things naturally, but I needed the drugs!

You are not alone❤️ If you need help, then keep asking, keep talking to your friends ( or your hairdresser😁) and keep learning about your body.

🍁🌿🧘Staying calm and self care seems to be a big part of the jigsaw because cortisol and estrogen are made of the same building blocks, so adapting your life to make space for Menopause is worthwhile, as is taking care of your diet and sleep.

There's a free Menopause Awareness event in Cirencester today, starting at 2.

👍Trish Tucker-May will be there with her new book (which I've ordered). Feel free to say more about your book in the comments, Trish😀

Any other clients who feel they offer wellbeing for menopause, please post your link.

I'll find the link for the Menopause Awareness event and post in the comments too.

Let's celebrate that we are breaking the taboo around a very important part of women's health 🙌

Evidence that Acupuncture can help with most menopausal symptoms.

Since the menopausal transition is such an individual and elongated process, tailored treatments such as those used in acupuncture may provide significant benefits. Various studies have shown that acupuncture may offer relief from some of the most common menopausal symptoms.
