Last weekend I had the honour of hosting an Ayurvedic Practitioners Retreat with fellow Ayurvedic Practitioners. It was the first time many of us had met in person after 3yrs of study at Ayurveda Institute UK and we all agreed it was amazing. Sharing friendship, meditation at Gomde Scotland, yoga Highland Yoga, Ayurvedic cooking, lunch The Highland Weigh, ancient forest and beach walks with music around the fire pit. Looking forward to next year already!

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons for dramatic changes, vivid colours, first time lighting the fire, getting out the woolly jumpers and eating fresh apples from my Mum's tree in the garden. It's also (as we see today) wet, windy and cold!

75% of Ayurvedic treatment is about prevention rather than cure so this is a perfect time to take a check on our health to see if we can make some adjustments to avoid getting too imbalanced with the change in seasons. For past patients I am now offering an Ayurvedic Annual Check-Up available in person or online, during the shift from summer to autumn, when Vata can become most imbalanced.
