Peter Hess Sound Massage Therapy, the sound massage with singing bowls was developed in 1984 by the physics engineering and vocational teacher (ret'd) for electrical engineering and politics, Peter Hess. It is the use of specially engineered singing bowls to invoke deep relaxation to the client through sound and vibration. The Bowls are placed on the clothed body on various body positions and gently struck to produce the wonderful sound and vibration. This stimulates all the cells in the body, promoting health and wellbeing for the body, Mind and Soul. The harmonic sounds immediately conveys feelings of safety and security, which quickly achieves a State of deep relaxation. The fine sound vibrations, which are physically felt, spread gently over the skin, tissue, organs, bones and body fluids throughout the body. It relaxes the muscles and stimulates the blood circulation and the lymphatic flow. In the relaxation, breathing, heartbeat, pulse, skin resistance, blood pressure, metabolism and digestive system regenerate themselves. This particular therapy has been recognised as a valuable aid to the progress of recovery from many conditions/surgeries/mental health disorders, due to it’s relaxing effects and is used in many hospitals and by many medical professionals and therapists in Germany, America and Brazil (to name but 3) as a compliment of their existing treatments as well as a stand alone relaxation aid to health and wellbeing.
