Our next sweat lodge as we move deeper into Winter…

Often as the cooler, darker times arrive, we can feel a contraction within us, a reluctance towards what is to come.
In this lodge we will work deeply to s l o w d o w n and f e e l.
This inner listening and journeying inwardly connects us to our inner wisdom, resilience and the many resources that exist inside of us that we can access during this time of the year.
As we transform this will fuel, support and nurture us for the coming months….

The origins of a sweat lodge:
It’s a traditional Native American purification rite to promote healthy living.
Hot stones are placed in the centre of a covered lodge and prayers and chants are offered to invoke healing.
The sweating out process releases toxins and negative energy that create disorder and imbalance in life.
It’s a deeply transformative experience with the intention being to cleanse the body, mind and soul.

Precise timings will be confirmed nearer the time but as a guide (as we’re slowing down and releasing the concept of time): Saturday 9.30am - 7pm, Sunday 10am-12noon.

Please feel free to share with anyone who you feel may be interested. Thank you!

You may not think or know this about me but I am actually a private person. I struggle to share about myself, most especially I find it hard to write about myself…

I always knew I was different to the norm (whatever that means), I didn’t fit in, I questioned life and my human existence deeply and longed to know ‘what is was all about’ and ‘what is the purpose of life, my life?’ ❔

Since my late teens I felt strongly called to the path of self discovery. I couldn’t find my place in the world, I didn’t know how to live a truly embodied and happy existence. This quest of knowing myself better has taken me to various continents and into many spiritual practices. Now I no longer search…

Throughout childhood particularly I was immersed in nature; my bare feet constantly touching, connected, plugged in to the frequency of the earth. Each holiday we went to visit my grandparents in Wales, spending every moment I could outdoors.
My grandmother and plants were my muse….
Coming from a horticultural lineage on the maternal and side of my family, plants were in my blood! 🩸Now more than ever; they have become my path. They support me in my connection to spirit.

As I travel again to the rainforest and to both the depths and vastness of my psyche I no longer feel confused and lost, I am in full embrace and trust of the journey ahead, whatever it brings…! 🌱💚🌳

I am so excited to share details of this ceremony happening on the beautiful land where I live!
What a blessing to be able to organise this offering of connection and healing.

There’s the option to camp on the land and we will share food together on both days.

Please feel free to share with anyone who you feel may be interested. Thank you.

I am really looking forward to getting back on my yoga mat and teaching at Soul Seeker Yoga today!!

Time away from my mat and teaching has made me really miss yoga. It’s always been a resource for me no matter how i’m feeling and my plant medicine intensive training has enabled me to connect with my body is a new and different way.

I feel so held being part of this wonderful yoga community and my heart is filled with joy to be back teaching again.

🙏🏼⚡️🌿☀️🌴💛🌱💦

About me

My yoga journey began well over a decade ago. Discovering yoga became a pivotal turning point in my life and the transformation which ensued. Although I continued to practice I wished to delve deeper so became a yoga teacher. Consequently teaching at an established holistic studio in York for a number of years; I am also qualified to teach pregnancy yoga. I have continued my exploration of different styles of yoga, broadening and developing my practice extensively whilst travelling and living overseas. My approach is to create an atmosphere where yoga is accessible and can be experienced and enjoyed by everyone!
