🐰🥚 A Lovely Easter Surprise at St Olaf! 🌼💛

Easter Sunday was made extra special at St Olaf thanks to a surprise delivery of Easter eggs from a local motorbike group! Their thoughtful visit brought big smiles to our residents and added a wonderful sense of excitement to the day. 🏍️🐣✨

Our residents also enjoyed reminiscing about past Easter celebrations, sharing memories of time spent with family, Easter egg hunts, singing and taking part in a virtual Easter church service. These conversations sparked warmth, laughter and meaningful connections. 💬💛

A heartfelt thank you as well to Reverend Steven Manders for popping in to see our residents at this special time — your visit was very much appreciated. 🌷🙏

🐣🌼 A Lovely Easter Celebration at St Olaf! 🌼🐣

We enjoyed a truly wonderful Easter celebration here at St Olaf, with something for everyone to enjoy! 💛✨

Our residents took part in a fun Easter egg hunt in our beautiful garden, got creative with arts and crafts, and enjoyed songs and music throughout the day. We also hosted a lovely Easter‑themed Baby and Toddler group, which brought lots of smiles, laughter and friendly chats across generations. 🎨🎶👶

It was a joyful day filled with connection, conversation and Easter cheer. 🌷

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Reverend Steven Manders of Nairn United Reformed Church and Reverend Linda Walker of Nairnshire Parish Church, along with their respective congregations, for the continued services and support they provide to our residents. 💐

🌸🎶 Intergenerational Easter Joy at St Olaf! 🎶🌸

We enjoyed a truly heart‑warming Easter celebration filled with intergenerational fun and connection here at St Olaf. 💛✨

Our residents are incredibly fortunate to take part in regular choir sessions led by the wonderful professional performers Kenna and Morna Ross, whose talent and kindness brighten every visit. Their ongoing collaboration with High Life Highland’s Leadership Programme and Mikeysline continues to bring meaningful and enriching experiences into our home. 🌟🎵

After weeks of practising their songs, residents were delighted to welcome the lovely pupils from Auldearn Nursery for a special Easter intergenerational performance. The children and residents interacted beautifully — sharing smiles, laughter and such special moments together. 👧👦

Moments like these build connection, confidence and joy, gently bringing generations together in the most heart‑warming way. 💛🌼

We’ve got a fantastic week of activities lined up at St Olaf Care Home, full of fun, movement and meaningful moments! 💛✨

Here’s what we’re looking forward to:
👗 National Tartan Day – celebrating our Scottish heritage in style!

🐕‍🦺 Therapy Dog Visit – always a resident favourite, bringing comfort, joy and plenty of cuddles.

💃🎶 DanceSing – movement, music and mindfulness to lift the spirits and keep everyone active.

🧘‍♂️ Yoga – gentle stretching and relaxation for wellbeing.

⚽ Sunday outing to Nairn County Football Club

We’ll be rounding off the week with a trip to Nairn County’s community event, which residents are really excited about!

🌹💛 A Heart‑warming Birthday Surprise at St Olaf! 💛🌹

We had the loveliest surprise visit that put the biggest smile on our birthday girl’s face! 🎉

Rachel from The Flower Shop Nairn, along with her daughter Poppy, arrived at St Olaf with a beautiful rose arrangement created by the talented pupils of Millbank Primary School as part of World Happiness Day. 🌍💐✨

The children chose to spread a little happiness within the community — and one of their thoughtful creations was delivered straight to us. Such a kind and touching gesture that made our resident’s special day even brighter. 💛

A heartfelt thank you to Rachel, Poppy, The Flower Shop Nairn, and the wonderful children at Millbank Primary for bringing joy into our home. Your kindness means so much. 🌼🌟

🎨 Design the Meallmore Whisky Label 2026 🥃

Last year, a resident named John painted a sunrise.

That painting became our whisky label.
Over 500 people voted for it.
And today, that bottle tells a story - of creativity, community and connection.

Sadly, John passed away in the summer of 2025, but his artwork lives on. His label, Leven Sunrise, is now part of Meallmore history and a reminder of why we run this competition every year.

🐴💛 A Wonderful Visit from Jacey the Shetland Pony! 💛🐴

What a fantastic time our residents had thanks to Hannah and her beautiful Shetland pony, Jacey, who came to visit us at St Olaf! 🌼✨

Jacey absolutely loved all the petting and carrots she received — and our residents adored giving her lots of affection in return. 🥕

For many, the visit brought back wonderful memories of having horses or riding in their younger years, making the experience even more special. The fresh air, gentle nature of Jacey and all the lovely conversations created such a heart‑warming afternoon. 🌤️💬

Everyone is already looking forward to Jacey’s next visit — we can’t wait! 💛🐴

A big thank you to Hannah for bringing so much joy to our home. 🌟

It’s been a wonderfully busy week here at St Olaf as we get ready for Easter! Our residents and colleagues have been enjoying a fantastic mix of activities, bringing every generation together and filling the home with smiles and energy

👶 Baby & Toddler Group, always a highlight, with plenty of giggles and heart‑warming moments.
💃🧘 DanceSing & Yoga, keeping everyone active, moving, and feeling great.

🎨 Easter Arts & Crafts, creating bright and beautiful decorations for the season.
🎬 Movie Afternoon, the perfect way to relax and unwind together.

💧🍑 St Olaf Joins Meallmore Hydration Week! ☀️🥤

Our residents at St Olaf enjoyed a lovely chat this week about the importance of staying well hydrated, followed by some delicious taste‑testing of new vitamin‑enriched drinks!

Everyone had a great time trying the different flavours with friends in the lounges or while enjoying a relaxing moment in their rooms. After much consideration (and plenty of sipping!), the top choice was… peach! 🍑💛

Staying well hydrated is such an important part of keeping healthy. When we don’t drink enough, we can feel tired or low in energy, become light‑headed, and even increase the risk of falls, which is why we make every cup count here at St Olaf 💧✨

A big thank you to our colleagues for helping make Hydration Week fun, social, and engaging for everyone! 🥤😊

✨ A Thoughtful Visit at St Olaf ✨

Our residents were blessed with another uplifting church service from Rev Manders of Nairn United Reformed Church 💛

His message, “Don’t worry about anything in life, don’t worry about tomorrow, think about today”, brought comfort, reflection and plenty of peaceful smiles. We are truly grateful to Rev Manders for taking the time to visit during the busy lead‑up to Easter.

Our lovely residents at St Olaf truly enjoy staying active and looking after their wellbeing. From gentle yoga sessions with instructor Jane, to refreshing walks in the fresh air, there’s always something to help boost both body and mind.

These activities not only bring joy, but also support overall health, confidence and independence, and of course, our wonderful colleagues are always there to encourage, support and share a smile along the way
