We collaborated with NHS Wales Performance and Improvement to launch new Outcomes Measures Fast-Track Training on Y Ty Dysgu, the national e-learning platform for NHS Wales.
https://ytydysgu.heiw.wales/courses/81bcaa74-e0a4-4f7a-a9c3-21a15fcff183

Aimed at professionals working in adult and older adult mental health services, this training supports the effective use of outcome measures in practice, helping improve how services monitor and deliver care across Wales.

The course introduces Patient / Person Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), explaining their purpose and demonstrating how they can be used routinely to support service users. It also highlights the importance of a sensitive, person-centred approach when introducing PROMs, ensuring individuals understand how they can benefit.

Supporting ATP supervisors to learn, connect and lead with confidence

HEIW continues to support Advanced Training Practice (ATP) supervisors through advanced clinical learning delivered in collaboration with ophthalmology colleagues.

Feedback shows these sessions are valued for their practical relevance, supportive learning environment and opportunities for open discussion with peers. Participants have described increased confidence and autonomy in their clinical practice, alongside the benefits of connecting with other supervisors facing similar challenges.

This work supports our wider commitment to developing a strong, sustainable eye care workforce and delivering accessible, high‑quality care in the community.
