A winter morning at Black Moss.

Coffee warming on the Trangia.
A steady fire under the Firebox Scout.
Breakfast taking its time as the cold sharpens the air.

Then the snow begins to fall — soft, patient, unbothered.

A small ritual.
Fire. Food. Stillness.
Time enough to notice where you are.

Hello 2026 🌲🔥
Thank you for walking this path with me — for the conversations, the brews shared, the markets, messages, and moments in between. None of this exists without you and my dear friends. (You know who you are)

Here’s to another year of getting outside when we can, slowing things down, and finding a bit of calm in the wild places.
Wishing you a grounded, gentle, and adventurous year ahead.

Happy New Year,
James | Wild Wanderer

🌲A Winter Break🌲

Winter’s settling in and Wild Wanderer HQ is taking a short break…

Before that, a proper thank you. 🙏

To everyone who placed an order, came to a market or show, stopped for a chat, shared a brew, or just crossed paths along the way — your support and time have meant a lot. 💚

This year’s been shaped by cold air, wet ground, small batches, and evenings by the fire. Making things by hand, getting outside when possible, and keeping things simple has been at the heart of it all. 🪵

Over the festive period, get into the wild when you can. Walk it off, breathe the cold in, let the weather do its thing. Even a short time outdoors helps steady the head. 🌲

The store is now closed and will reopen on the 7th of January with fresh batches ready to go.

Wishing you a very wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. Keep warm, keep moving, and I’ll see you in the Wild 🏕️

Much love

James

🧤✨ WILD WANDERER Leather Balm

This is the kind of care that keeps things going. Quiet, unhurried maintenance for leather that’s seen weather, miles, and real use. A simple ritual for winter days when boots dry by the door and well-worn gear waits for its next outing.

Wild Wanderer Leather Balm is an all-natural, handcrafted blend made to nourish, soften, and protect leather through cold, damp months. With a rich, buttery texture, it works easily into the grain, restoring suppleness and helping leather resist the elements without leaving it heavy or sticky.

There’s a familiarity in the process — warming the balm between your fingers, working it into boots, belts, sheaths, or bags, and watching tired leather slowly come back to life. Not about making things new, but about keeping them ready.

Apply sparingly, let it absorb, and buff gently. Ideal for everyday leather that lives outdoors as much as you do — practical care for kit that’s meant to last. 🌲

A simple act of upkeep.
A respect for well-used gear.
Leather care, made to be used. ✨

DAY 9 - 🪵🤎 WILD WANDERER Wood Butter

This is the quiet work of winter. The moments spent indoors, hands busy, tending the tools and wooden pieces that see daily use. A simple, grounding ritual that keeps things working well and looking their best through the colder months. ✨

Wild Wanderer Wood Butter is an all-natural, food-safe blend designed to nourish and protect wood that’s been dried by heat, cold, and constant use. It sinks in smoothly, restoring grain, deepening colour, and leaving a soft, protective finish without feeling greasy or artificial.

There’s something deeply satisfying about bringing wood back to life — watching a spoon darken, a board glow, a handle regain its warmth. It’s not about perfection, just care. A way of slowing down and honouring the things that quietly serve you every day.

Rub a small amount into clean, dry wood, let it soak in, then buff gently. Perfect for chopping boards, spoons, bowls, knife handles, and campcraft tools — wherever wood deserves a little attention. 🌲

A simple act of maintenance.
A moment of calm in the workshop.
Wood care, done the old way. ✨
