🤍 New Year’s feels different when the year behind you includes loss 🤍

You may find yourself surrounded by lots of people talking about fresh beginnings, new goals, new energy, new chapters and you’re well aware of the people you love who have passed who won’t be here to see the future plans.

There’s a quiet ache in leaving a year that held both deep love and deep grief.

Because part of you wants to step forward and another part feels like doing so is a kind of betrayal.

You’re not just closing out a calendar year.
You’re closing the last one that still had your loved one present.

So if the New Year feels heavier, quieter, or bittersweet, you’re not failing at it.
Grief doesn’t follow timelines. It doesn’t disappear when the clock strikes midnight. It stays, It walks with you.

Somehow, you learn to hold both:
the hope of what’s coming and the love you will never let go of.

They aren’t left behind in the old year.
They move forward with you, into the next one.

As we gently move in to 2026, we are thinking of you, take care 🙏

🎄🙏 As Christmas Day comes to a close, we remember families who have felt the pain of an empty seat at the table this year.
Today is also a day of remembrance, as we hold close the loved ones we have lost. Though their presence is no longer with us, they live on through a lifetime of memories, memories that will remain forever in our hearts and minds. We are thinking of you today 🙏🎄

This is a truly special event where we gather together to remember those we’ve loved and lost – with each light shining brightly on our Christmas tree in memory of a loved one.

The service will begin at 4:30pm, with light refreshments available from 4pm, and everybody is welcome to attend.💙 The service lasts for around half an hour and is held outdoors so please wrap up warm.
