Shanaz is an experienced antenatal and hypnobirthing educator, with a background as an NHS midwife spanning 18 years. She’s supported hundreds of families through pregnancy and birth—and now she brings that knowledge and passion to support parents through education, preparation, and mindset-building.

Shanaz believes that everyone deserves a positive birth experience, and while birth itself can be unpredictable, feeling informed, confident, and calm can make all the difference.

🤰 Rachel – The heart behind Basking Babies Crewe & Nantwich, Rachel holds deeply nurturing Mama-to-Be Circles, baby massage, yoga, and more — creating space for connection, confidence, and care from bump to beyond.

👶 Shanaz – Birth Nerd Cheshire - Shanaz is bringing a new birth preparation course to Cheshire, she believes everyone has the right to a positive birth experience and should feel knowledgable, informed, prepared and able to work with their healthcare team.

In Autumn 2025, The Wellspring & Yew will open its doors to something new – Our Accessible Therapy Service 🤎

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new accessible counselling service, available both online and from our rural therapeutic centre in Burland, Nantwich. 🌿

Delivered through our recently founded Community Interest Company, this initiative offers high-quality, ethically supervised therapy to individuals who might otherwise struggle to access timely support. It is specifically designed to support people navigating distress or transition due to circumstances such as relationship breakdown, job loss, illness, financial stress, or emotional overwhelm. 🤎

What We Offer:
🌿 Sessions priced from just £25–£55 per hour, depending on your circumstances and therapist availability
🌿A team of carefully selected placement and newly qualified therapists, supervised by experienced practitioners
🌿Trauma-aware, compassionate, and ethical therapeutic support
🌿Flexible appointment times: daytime, evenings, and weekends

We are working in partnership with overstretched local services, providing a safe and timely referral route that complements existing local provision.

We are delighted to deepen our commitment to making high-quality therapy both accessible and sustainable. We sincerely hope this initiative will offer much-needed provision to Nantwich and the surrounding areas.
