"I started Moveology back in June last year. I’ve never felt as good mentally and physically as I do now!

I attended reformer once a week, then went onto attending classes 2 to 3 times a week. Reformer has helped with my overall strength and posture. Sitting at a desk all day, I felt pain and stiffness in my shoulders and back. Now, after attending regular classes along with very supportive advice and guidance from Lottie and her incredible welcoming team, I no longer suffer with these symptoms.

Since January, I upgraded my membership to include Small group Movement therapy sessions. I’ve learnt how important it is during and after the menopause to maintain muscle and strength. Nothing is out of bounds to ask or tell Lottie how you are feeling. Every class can be adjusted accordingly, as being hormonal this can change unexpectedly!

I feel stronger after attending these classes and thank you to other members for their support, encouragement and humour along the way!"

We have caught up with Sarah since her blood test results showed some changes were needed to her current regime.

"I found it really interesting going through the results and understanding what changes I needed to make. Since adjusting things slightly from what I would normally take, I’ve started to notice some positive improvements in how I’m feeling.

It’s been helpful to have that clearer direction, and I’ll keep monitoring how things progress over time.

I am really looking forward to seeing how it improves my fitness journey and seeing improvements in my health too.

Jo has your training, fueling changed?

Training for triathlons
Balancing performance, muscle, and real life at 50 💪

As a triathlete and coach at Moveology, my nutrition isn’t about perfection, it’s about purpose.

Right now, my focus is:
➡️ Building and maintaining muscle
➡️ Fueling training sessions properly
➡️ Improving body composition

And honestly… doing all that while juggling a busy life is the real endurance sport.

So here’s how I keep things simple and effective 👇

I don’t obsess over calories, I focus on macros.

🔹 Protein is my anchor:
I aim for around 130g per day, spread across 3 meals (about 30g each) plus additional from snacks. This supports recovery, muscle growth, and keeps me feeling strong.

🔹 Structured meals:
Each main meal looks roughly like:
✔️ 30g protein
✔️ 15g fats
✔️ 30g carbs

🔹 Smart snacking for training:
I include at least 2 snacks daily, and these flex depending on training:
⚡ Higher carbs before/after sessions for fuel and recovery
🌿 Lower carbs on lighter or rest periods

🔹 Daily macro targets (flexible, not fixed):
➡️ Protein: ~130g
➡️ Fats: ~55g
➡️ Carbs: ~120g (this is the one that moves the most depending on training load)

No two days look exactly the same, and that’s the point.

Nutrition should support your life, not complicate it.

For me, it’s about consistency over perfection, structure with flexibility, and fuelling with intent.

If you’re trying to train, build muscle, and stay lean, start simple, stay consistent, and adjust based on what your body needs.

And remember… it’s never too late to get stronger 🔥

Walking is one of the most underrated ways to improve your health, and it’s accessible to almost everyone.

Here’s why it matters:

Birthday weekends 🎉

A little more indulgence, a few extra treats, and all the foods we don’t usually have on the regular… and that’s okay. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about balance. Enjoying the moments, the memories, and the meals without guilt 🤍

Sunday dinner was at the birthday girl’s request (of course 💁‍♀️), and we made it count. Good food, full hearts, and a table full of smiles.

And just like that, we reset with the usual Sunday food prep done and ready for another busy week ahead 💪✨
