Hello all,

Thank you for following my Shockwave page.

Due to my NHS and other therapy commitments I have made to decision to stop offering Shockwave so I can focus on BOWEN Therapy.

BOWEN is a Hands-on soft tissue release method that uses a whole body approach and I have loved it since I first learnt it over 25 years ago!

Usually the longer people have had plantar fasciitis, the longer it may take to get on top of it, however I'm very pleased to report that a gent who's had it for five years and tried all sorts of things that have not helped, is doing much better following 4 sessions of Shockwave Therapy, myofascial work and completing his bespoke functional movement exercises at home ☑️

It was great to catch up with Zoe in Nantwich. Zoe is a Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist who works with veterans, stroke survivors, seniors, dementia mobility, rehabilitation and hands on Therapy, also sports, nutrition and more.

We had an opportunity to exchange ideas, and I demonstrated Shockwave Therapy for an old calf injury.

As an update to my Achilles Tendinopathy post.

M' had an initial flare up that passed, and has been pain free since, even following a 7 miles run!
.. "three mornings in a row I have got out of bed NOt hobbling so I am dead chuffed. Long ramble to say THANK YOU and see you next week."

I saw 2 Achilles Tendinopathies yesterday.

I combine the radial Shockwave Therapy with myofascial work on the calf, plantar fascia and consider the fascial chain above.

Functional Exercises that progressively build the calf and tendon are then used as homework.

In this way we are combining 3 therapeutic elements:

1. Treatment
2. Soft Tissue Myofascial Work
3. Rehabilitation
