Grief wears many faces, It isn’t only about losing someone we love — it can also mean the end of a relationship, a loss of a pet, a way of life, or slowly losing pieces of someone to illness.

Today marks 15 years without my beloved Dad. It’s a day that will always hold sadness, but also one I choose to celebrate — to honour his life and his love. I’ve learned that we never really “get over” loss; we just learn to live with it and carry it alongside everything else.

Every year around this time, I fill my home with pumpkins and lights — a small, bright tribute to him and to the joy and love he brought to my life. 🎃✨

The picture is of my wonderful Mum, taken before Dementia and Alzheimer’s began to take hold — another kind of grief, one where the person you love is still here, but changed. Yet through it all, her smile remains. She may not always remember my name, but her face still lights up when she sees me and calls me her special girl.

And in those moments, I’m reminded that love never fades — it just finds new ways to shine. 💛

Grief can feel overwhelming and unpredictable, touching every part of life.
