A busy couple of weeks here at QSC where we have been putting our cooking skills into practice learning to make healthy and affordable meals. We also managed to squeeze in a trip to Manor Wildlife Park, Staying Social PPF, Horse Riding Lessons and not forgetting our pledge to be a Dementia Friendly Company 😁

Today has been yet another positive day. We have supported some of our service users through their first cooking class, where they made corned beef stew. Everyone enjoyed and did extremely well. A huge thank you to Barry and Mandy for allowing us to attend a safe space to learn new cookery skills ❤️

Here at Quayside Care, we are commited to offering what we can to our local communities, therefore, we have decided to try our hands at making sensory blankets/cushions for individuals living with dementia. The sensory aids that we make will then be donated to individuals with dementia within their own homes, local residential settings and hospitals. The materials will be donated by us here at Quayside Care. Obviously, the more sensory aids that we make, the more we can donate, therefore, we invite our service users, their families and friends, and anyone that really would enjoy getting involved with this, please do join us. The more, the merrier, and the more we can give to our communities ❤️. If you are interested in donating some time to this cause or are part of a social circle that are in search of meaningful activities,, then please drop us a message, and we will get back to you with more information. Thank you ❤️

We are deeply saddened to learn of the news of our Queen Elizabeth the II. Thank you for you dedicated and long service, and may you now rest in peace with the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Queen's long reign saw the world change dramatically.
