We hope your bank holiday has been restful and restorative 😌🙌🏻

🦶🏻 Our topic today: Hard skin (callus) and fissures.

There's no magic formula for hard skin...? Or is there?

As Podiatrist's, some of our most common conditions in clinic are a result of, or include hard skin and callus...It's our bread and butter - we love it and you are in good hands! 👣 🙌🏻👣

🦶🏻 But, how do we prevent the hard skin coming back?
Well, we believe in a partnership with you, our role as Podiatrist's is to debride your hard skin, educate you on footwear, and to encourage daily application if a UREA based emollient to prevent the re-build up of hard skin.

Hard skin can affect anyone, but you may be particularly prone if you have any of these conditions;

- Diabetics
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Osteoarthritis
- Imbalances with gait/MSK issues
- The list goes on...

In our clinic we absolutely love CCS cream... A good UREA based emollient which moisturises the skin and limits the build up of callus - preventing the possibility of worsening foot issues like ulcers ✔️✔️

✨ What a lovely evening at Camrose Community Centre, Pelcombe Cross! ✨
On Wednesday, we had the honour of speaking to the wonderful ladies at the WI, sharing lots of practical and important foot health advice.
Vikki led the session brilliantly, covering a wide range of foot health topics and finishing with a lively Q&A. It was fantastic to see everyone so engaged — and for two people who aren’t the biggest fans of public speaking, we were absolutely chuffed with how well it went… especially being compared to Morecambe and Wise 😄 (we’ll definitely take that as a compliment!).
Thank you so much to everyone who came along and made us feel so welcome.

🎊 Our first BIG success story of 2026! 🎊

When this client first came to us, both of her feet were severely affected by verrucae — including some of the largest mosaic plaques we’ve seen in clinic. She had been struggling for a long time and had tried multiple other treatments without any success.
