According to new research by the Oral Health Foundation:
• Only about 1 in 6 UK adults (15%) think about how what they eat or drink impacts their teeth.

• In contrast, many more worry about weight gain (40%), heart health (35%), or diabetes (34%).

Why this matters:
Sugary foods feed decay-causing bacteria.

Acidic drinks can eat away enamel.

Poor diet raises risks of tooth decay, staining, enamel erosion, bad breath.

Gum disease (which affects ~90% of people at some point) is also linked to diet.

What small changes can help:
✅ Cut down on sugary / acidic drinks
✅ Reduce snacking
✅ Eat a more balanced diet with plenty of tooth-friendly foods
✅ Choose sugar-free snacks
