A weekend retreat for the whole family —
full of movement, music, rhythm, and shared connection.

Surya Rhythm is an independent, intimate festival held on beautiful land at Mellor's Wood. It’s a space to come together — to dance, to breathe, to rest, to play, and to simply be.

This year’s program includes:
✨daily yoga and meditation
✨sound baths, including a collective journey on Saturday
✨singing and voice workshops
✨ecstatic dance, contact improvisation, somatic movement
✨live music, DJs, drumming circles and a closing jam session
✨creative workshops, intuitive art, breathwork & journaling
✨personal healing sessions and body-based therapies
✨sessions for children and families — art, mindfulness, sound, movement
✨nourishing vegetarian and vegan food — with plenty of homemade cakes😉

🌀The word Surya means the sun — and like the sun, we move in rhythm.

Rhythm lives in us — in our breath, in our steps, in our beating hearts.
This weekend is about returning to that natural rhythm — through sound, movement, stillness, and shared presence.
We come together for these three days to create a sense of tribe —
a space of warmth, openness, and real connection.
To move, to heal, to celebrate — in community, in love.🌀

We have something special for you! Before we release the next date for our Ecstatic Dance Event in Leicester, we would like to invite you for the festival we are organising in June on a private farm in Shepshed - Surya Rhythm Festival 2024! Follow for more info!

After receiving so much positive feedback from last year's gathering, Surya Rhythm has decided to go ahead and organise a second edition, which also happens to coincide with the Summer Solstice Celebration and International Yoga Day. Surya in Sanskrit means the Sun.

This will be a small festival bringing together like-minded people, focusing on wellbeing, set amongst the beautiful countryside on a private farm in Leicestershire/Shepshed.

Yoga, sound baths, breathwork, meditation, ecstatic dance and workshops will be open to all throughout the day, as well as music from DJs and live jam musicians.

Surya Rhythm's mission is to unite everyone in the essence of freedom, movement, music and love for one another.

Until the 31st of March we are offering an Early bird Weekend Camping Adult Ticket for £70!

Dear friends,

Sadly, our 3rd edition of Ecstatic Dance is postponed. We put our heart and soul into our events, and to ensure we are creating the best vibe for you, we need to make sure there are enough confirmed attendees for this to happen. To wait until the last minute to cancel just wouldn't be fair.

We believe that this is the most sensible decision and feel it's only right to be as open and honest as possible with you. The interest and feedback we received from our first 2 editions exceeded all our expectations and touched us immensely, and we have thoroughly enjoyed connecting with you.

We received many messages indicating that the current date didn't work. We understand this; February can be tough as we always seem to hibernate around this time to consolidate and get ready for the spring awakening.

Thank you for your understanding. We will update you on a new date as soon as possible!

Paul leads us to various corners of the world, through different emotions via different tempos, rhythms, musical styles and of course higher vibrations. He has been a crate digger for many years so always expect the unexpected.
