IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICE - PLEASE READ
Can all patients please be aware that the AskMyGP app is for same day doctor appointments ONLY.
Help us to help you - make sure all current address, telephone numbers and emails are correct and updated by yourselves.
The Pharmacy in Glynneath and Resolven both run the Common Ailments Scheme, along with Pharmacies across Wales. There is a wide variety of help they can provide you or a family member with (each pharmacy may differ). A full list of treatments can be found online, or you can pop in and see them. If they are unable to deal with your issue, then they will redirect you to us.
When making a request via the app, give as much information as you possibly can. For example, if you’ve already seen a pharmacist then let us know, we won’t then send a message asking you to do this first! If you want a particular GP only, or maybe you are only available in the afternoon, all these little pieces of information help us to deal with your request correctly. Can we also ask that you respond as quickly as possible to any messages sent to you.
General appointments and specialised appointments with a nurse (such as chest clinic/diabetic clinic etc), phlebotomist, pharmacist (medication reviews), well woman clinic, smears all need to be booked over the phone using option 2, this can be done at any time within our working hours. Avoid peak times when appointments for the day become available to all.
Any medication requests will NOT be dealt with via AskMyGP, including repeat prescriptions. If you do have a query, then please contact the practice and press option 4 where our prescribing team will be happy to help.
Test results will ONLY be given between 2.30-4.30pm each day, option 6 not via the app. This will be rejected if requested.
