PRACTICE BEREAVEMENT

It is with great sadness that we share the news that our wonderful colleague Caren passed away this morning at 4am.

Caren was a deeply valued member of our surgery for 25 years. She was not only an exceptional professional, but also a kind, warm, and much-loved friend to so many of us. Her dedication to her work and the care she gave to patients made a lasting impact, and she will be greatly missed by staff and patients alike.

Our thoughts are with Caren’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

*** BARKING RD CLOSURE UPDATE ***
We have received an update from Suffolk Highways at 12:30pm on 24/02/2026 confirming that they are unable to facilitate access to the surgery from the High Street end of Needham Market due to the volume of traffic making the works unsafe. Barking Road and access to the surgery will be closed from Foxglove Avenue.

A diversion route will be in place and clearly signposted. Patients are advised to follow the diversion to reach the surgery, Or alternatively park in a nearby road and attend on foot .

Please allow plenty of extra time to reach us for your appointment.

Please note that this situation is subject to change, and we will keep patients updated as soon as further information becomes available.

To reach the surgery or the pharmacy during this closure please stop at the closure point and inform the traffic management team your reason for entry.

Access will be permitted, but at certain times an es**rt may be necessary, especially when deep excavations are open or heavy machinery is operating.
