Hi you lovely lot 🤍

I often talk on posts like it’s not just me sat here manning all social media posts, enquiries, messages, emails, phone calls etc - but it is! So hello. ❤️ Apologies to those who haven’t had a response to messages today, but I wanted to update you all collectively.

It’s been a whirlwind few days to say the least for my little business. I’ve felt every possible emotion - heartbreak, upset, stress (lots of that one 🙃) but also optimism, determination and hope for my little business and the lovely community we’ve made.

So here we go - Unfortunately, I have been informed of an unsustainable rent increase if I was to renew my lease. This means that SensoryFlo will no longer run at our current premises as of next week. Now at first I thought the world was going to end and all I could think about was how I’d put my whole being into our current space for the last year and loved it with my whole heart. But now I’ve had time to process this, take a step back and see it in black and white, it is bittersweet, but it also a new opportunity to embrace. 💛

I will update you all in due course in regards to our relocation, but for now, I’m sorry to say that all class bookings for the rest of July and the 2 weeks we were going to open in August are now cancelled. 🥺 Refunds will be issued ASAP, but may take some time as there were so many of you coming along. 😔💔 (Our first aid courses will still be going ahead on the 26th)

I can’t thank you enough for everything over the last year at Lomeshaye and supporting me and my small business from the beginning. I’ve seen so many of your babies grow from being little 6 week olds to beautiful 1 year olds, seen you form the loveliest friendships, we’ve all confided in eachother, helped eachother, shared stories, shared the hard times & the good times and shaken our maracas until the cows came home! I’ve seen you all enjoy yourselves so much and I can’t WAIT for this to continue 🥹❤️ but until then, I’m going to take a well needed short break for a few weeks and have a summer off with my gorgeous family 🥰

Unfortunately this is the climate we’re living in with increases in rent and bills, but this is just the start of another very exciting opportunity. I hope you can all follow SensoryFlo on our next adventure and I can’t wait to see you soon 💛

Esmié’s story. 🤍

A story so close to home that you never ever think you're going to hear.

My beautiful friend Sophie and her lovely partner Connor's worlds came crashing down at the end of May when the hospital found a large tumour across their beautiful baby girl Esmié's brain, who was only 12 weeks old.
After numerous scans and already undergoing 15 hours of surgery across two major operations, Esmié was diagnosed with an Immature Teratoma Tumour which will all need to be removed due to lying between the Benign and Malignant categories. She is due to have two more operations at the end of July to remove the rest of the tumour. They had to stop surgery 1 and 2 early due to complications, blood transfusions and DVT. Despite all of this, baby Esmié continues to defy all odds and kick this brain tumours backside and amaze everybody with her courage and humongous strength.

She has been giggling and smiling at Mummy and Daddy, their first time seeing that smile and hearing her laugh - most likely the first time Esmie has got to see them too. ❤️

It’s hard not to just ball my eyes out every time I think of Esmié and how proud I am of her and Sophie and Connor. There really aren't enough words to explain the pure fear and earth shattering pain they must have felt, and after having your baby at home for 12 weeks, getting into the swing of things, figuring eachother out, getting out and about out the house, this really is the last thing you'd expect to discover.

A lot of you will have seen beautiful Esmié at SensoryFlo and it would mean the whole world if you could donate anything you can to support her and her family. Sophie and Connor have practically been living in Manchester Childrens hospital with their beautiful girl, which takes a huge toll on life too.

No matter how small you think a problem is, please ring 111 and express any concerns you may have. Baby Esmie's tumour grew at an impeccable rate and if it hadn't have been for her mummy and daddy being so brave and ringing up, Esmié would have gotten very poorly very quickly.

Some of Esmie's sypmtoms included:
- Persistent vomiting
- Increased head size with rapid growth
- Abnormal eye movements such as flickering or wobbling
- Bulging wide eyes usually looking down
- Not responding to anything visual like objects or faces
- Unexplainable irritability

Baby Esmié is an absolute warrior - there is no other way to describe her. 🤍

A lovely and engaging set up completely different to our Sensory layout, a chance to drink a brew that isn’t cold and chat with other parents as your little ones play, learn and socialise with lots of lovely toys and our interactive equipment! (Who doesn’t love our bubble tubes and interactive wall panels?! 🤩)

We’ll have snack time and a sing song with the guitar too 🥰

After we sing lots of lovely songs together in our Teacher Led classes, our parents and babies have free time to go for an explore and a look around our large sensory zones to see what they can see, hear and feel 💛 and Stan always ends up in our ball pit aka hot tub 🤣🫢❤️
