Happy New Year! 🎉

We kicked off 2026 with a delicious feast whipped up by our amazing kitchen staff. A delicious roast dinner, followed by a mouth watering desert mousse and a little tipple along side 🥂

Afterwards, we had loads of fun and laughter with a New Year's quiz. A perfect way to start the year! 😄

Dining Out Together 🐟🍟

We decided to wrap up the year with a fun outing, and Derek was set on visiting his all-time fave local spot, Banny's! 🥰

We had a lovely time, the food was amazing, and everyone was laughing and swapping stories over lunch. What a perfect way to end the year! ❤️

⭐️ Employee of The YEAR ⭐️

As we say goodbye to 2025, we have been reminiscing over the past year and all the great things that have happened in our home… and one of those great moments was when Mo joined us in May 🥰

Home Manager Diane said, “This is Moniruzzaman (Mo) and he's been working with us since May 2025 on nights. We are proud to announce that he is our employee of the year 2025. We have had lots of wonderful comments from his fellow team, complimenting Mo on how he is always helpful, kind, and I can say he always has a smile on his face and is always happy. This obviously has such a positive effect on our residents. He will do anything asked and is already a valued member of our team!”👏

Congratulations Mo and thank you for your hard work and dedication to our home ⭐️

🎄⭐️ Christmas Day ⭐️🎄

Christmas Day at ASH was truly amazing! We had a special visit from Santa, and everyone enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. It was wonderful to see everyone come together in the festive spirit ❤️

Advent Calendal Fun and Making Music 🎶 ❤️

Our advent calendar has been a wonderful activity this year with our ladies and gents eager to see what is behind the door each day - the joy on their faces has been amazing 🥰

We also had a fun musical afternoon getting together to play, sing, and listen to some Christmas tunes! Everyone was feeling the festive spirit ✨🎄

Our New Family Room is Now Open! 👏❤️

We are proud to open our recently refurbished private family room. This will be utilised for MDT meetings for a quiet place to discuss sensitive matters and as a private area for families when they wish for some time to themselves 🥰

We can’t wait to host our residents and their families in this lovely cosy room ❤️

Christmas Pyjama Day 🥰

What a lovely day at we had on Friday at ASH - we had a Christmas pyjama day for our amazing staff and residents. It was heartwarming to see everyone participating and looking fantastic in their PJs! ❤️

Our ladies and gents loved seeing our staff ‘dressing down’ into their pyjamas too - I am sure they enjoyed the day of cosy comfort as well 🥰

Christmas Party Season 🎄🥳

The Christmas celebrations have officially kicked off here at Andrew Smith House! We had our Christmas unit parties filled with music, games, a delicious buffet, and the joy of everyone coming together 🥰

Between signing our favourite festive tunes, dancing along together, playing party games and posing in our Christmas accessories and cuts outs, we had a ball 💃🕺

It's moments like these that make the season so special! ✨

Joyful Little Visitors 🥰🎄

We were delighted to have Walton Lane Nursery children visit and sing Christmas carols to our ladies and gents. They looked adorable in their festive costumes, dressed as everything from Father Christmas to reindeer, Christmas trees, and angels. They truly brought joy to our home and our residents enjoyed every second! ❤️

🎄Christmas Disco 🪩

Our monthly Christmas disco last week was absolutely magical! It was so wonderful to see everyone enjoying the Helen Dance Academy, Santa's visit, and those yummy pie and peas 🥰

As always, the night was filled with fun, dancing, and tons of laughter. We really enjoy and look forward to it every month and love meeting up with everyone. A huge thank you to everyone who helps make these nights happen ❤️👏
