🌟 Taking a Little Break! 🌟
Wearing many hats.First Aid Instructor, First Responder, and Emergency Care Assistant, keeps me on my toes! It’s a job I absolutely love, but now it’s time to swap the uniform for some quality time with my girls. 💕

I’ll be taking a few days off over the half term to recharge, make memories, and enjoy some much-needed family time. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my journey and supported the work I do, I will still be posting my top tips and videos on social media but all messages will be replied to on my return when I will be refreshed and ready for whatever comes next!🫶🏻

Did You Know?
You can help save a life in under 10 seconds, just by checking someone’s breathing!

If a person is unresponsive, tilt their head back and look, listen, and feel for normal breathing for no more than 10 seconds.
👉 If they’re not breathing or not breathing normally, call 999 immediately and start CPR.

Today, I had the absolute pleasure of training 4 fantastic staff members from in Paediatric First Aid and they all passed with flying colours! 🌟

These dedicated professionals work closely with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and their commitment to learning these vital life-saving skills truly shows how much they care about the children they support.💚

Paediatric First Aid is such an important qualification, it gives staff the confidence to act quickly and calmly in an emergency, helping to keep every child safe and cared for.⛑️

Well done to all four of you, your passion, teamwork, and enthusiasm made today’s session an absolute joy to teach! 🙌👏

✅Remove any loose clothing or jewellery
✅ Cover loosely with cling film

💀 Sudden swelling (like a scary balloon!)
🩸 Hives or itching that creep across your skin
🫁 Wheezing, coughing, or trouble breathing
💔 A pounding heart or dizziness
😨 Feeling faint or like something’s really wrong

If these spooky symptoms strike, don’t wait, use your adrenaline (epi-pen) auto-injector and call emergency services immediately.

This , remember: Anaphylaxis is scarier than any Halloween monster, but knowing the signs can save a life.

🎃👻 Don’t Let Anaphylaxis Give You a Fright This Halloween! 👻🎃

It’s Anaphylaxis Week, and as we gear up for spooky season, remember, it’s not just ghosts and ghouls that can cause a scare!

🍬 Hidden allergens can sneak into Halloween treats, party snacks, and even costumes or face paints.
🚨If you or someone you know has a severe allergy, always:
✅ Check labels carefully
✅ Ask before sharing food
✅ Carry your adrenaline auto-injector (EpiPen)

If someone shows signs of anaphylaxis, such as breathing difficulties, swelling, dizziness, or collapse, here’s what to do:
1️⃣ Use the adrenaline auto-injector immediately
2️⃣ Call 999 and say “anaphylaxis”
3️⃣ Stay with them and reassure until help arrives

Let’s keep the screams this Halloween fun, not frightening. Stay safe, stay prepared, and help spread awareness this Anaphylaxis Week! 💚
