🎉✨ Today we celebrate 100 wonderful years of our dear Henry! ✨🎉

We were honoured with a special visit from the Lord Lieutenant, who hand-delivered Henry’s birthday card from His Majesty the King 👑.

Henry’s milestone day was filled with joy — from cards and gifts from his Netley family and friends, to precious moments with his loved ones this afternoon, followed by a very special family tea-time gathering. 💕

A big thank you to our amazing chefs at Netley for preparing such a delicious spread — and to Chef James for the show-stopping birthday cake that made the day extra special 🎂👏.

Henry, what a privilege and honour it is to share this remarkable day with you. 🥰

Today is the day!! Wishing you the very best Louis on the epic Australian expedition, on behalf of our Cinnamon team. 👏👏
Starting today, Louis Alexander takes on 8 marathons in 8 consecutive days, across 8 Australian capital cities. 🇦🇺

That’s over 330km of running, more than 6,000 miles of travel between cities, all whilst dealing with the challenge of tackling a continent of extreme contrasts in conditions, weather, and environments.

We’re honoured to support him as he takes on this extraordinary feat to raise funds for Global's Make Some Noise– the official charity of Global Media who raise money and awareness for small, local charities across the UK.

There’s something so special about turning everyday items into something new, useful, and beautiful. 💚

These little bird feeders were made from recycled plastic bottles – a perfect way to combine arts and crafts, creativity, and care for the planet. Not only do projects like this help reduce waste, but they also encourage us to pause, make something with our hands, and connect with the world around us.

🎨 Crafting helps us relax, spark imagination, and feel that sense of pride when we step back and say, “we made this!”
♻️ Recycling teaches us how small actions can make a big difference.

Today we enjoyed a special trip to visit our friends at our sister home, Abbotswood. There was coffee, cake, a delicious lunch, and a lively afternoon of bingo — the perfect recipe for smiles all round. ☕🍰🎉

For some of our ladies, today was about more than just a lovely day out. It was about feeling confident, valued, and part of something special. Friendship has a way of lifting spirits — whether it’s holding a hand, sharing a laugh, or simply sitting side by side. And sometimes, the simple act of sharing a photograph with loved ones far away can be powerful… a way to say, “I’m doing well. I am happy. I am safe. I am loved.” 📸💛

We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful team at Abbotswood for your warm welcome and thoughtful hosting — next time, lunch is on us! 🥰

Yesterday afternoon, we stretched our legs with a lovely stroll to the local café — coffee, tea, lemonades, chatter, and plenty of smiles along the way. ☕💛

Then, as the evening drew in, magic floated right past our garden. The Regal Princess cruise ship sailed by in the evening sunshine, sparking wonderful memories for some of our residents. A little bit of “wish we were on board” filled the air. 🌅🚢
