Beach days are beautiful ☀️🌊
But something people don’t always realise how much sunlight reflects off the water.

That glare can be really harsh on the eyes, especially on bright days like this 😎✨

A good pair of sunglasses doesn’t just look nice… it genuinely helps your eyes feel more comfortable while you enjoy the view ☀️

England this week is confusing everyone ☀️☁️

No sun tomorrow apparently… but still 27 degrees?
So we’re all going to be hot, sweaty, and still somehow needing sunglasses 😎

One sunny Bank Holiday in England and suddenly the whole country heads to the beach ☀️😂

The next morning:
sunburnt noses, tired eyes, and everyone squinting at their phones like this 😎🤏

Meanwhile, your local optician is just quietly watching it all happen 👀✨

Sunshine finally made it to England ☀️😎
And while we all enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend, don’t forget your eyes need protection too.

At the practice, we love helping you find sunglasses that not only look good, but properly protect your vision ✨

We stock amazing lenses from ZEISS and beautiful sunglasses from Maui Jim — perfect for brighter days like these ☀️

Enjoy the sunshine, stay safe, and look after your eyes 💛

Two frames.
Almost identical at first glance.

But craftsmanship changes everything.

From the feel in hand to the flexibility, finish and comfort on the face — small details make a huge difference.

Project 100 vs RAEN.
* handcrafted
* refined
* balanced
* premium feel
* softer finish
* attention to detail
Which one would you choose?

Most people should blink around 15–20 times per minute.
But when using phones, laptops and screens, that number can drop significantly — often without us noticing.

Reduced and incomplete blinking is one of the reasons dry, tired and irritated eyes are becoming increasingly common today.

Small habits can have a big impact on long-term visual comfort and eye health.

Vision can change within the same day… just like the British weather 🌦️
One moment everything looks clear ☀️
The next, it becomes blurry 🌫️
And then, suddenly, it clears up again 🌤️
And no, it doesn’t always mean your eyesight is getting worse. From an optometry perspective, these fluctuations are often caused by very common factors:
• Dry eye
• Stress and visual fatigue
• Accommodative spasm (focusing issues)
• Changes in lighting, tiredness and dehydration
• In some cases, blood glucose fluctuations can also affect visual quality
Just like the weather in the UK… your vision can have its own changes throughout the day 🌧️👁️
