Birkenhead Park is set to welcome Luke Jerram’s iconic ‘Gaia’ - a giant three-dimensional representation of our planet - for three days on 28 – 30 May as part of Wirral’s Borough of Culture celebrations.
Measuring seven metres in diameter and created from 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface, through ‘Gaia’, Luke is providing everyone with the opportunity to examine our planet close up, floating in three dimensions.
Today’s announcement, set to coincide with Earth Day, will also see Wirral-based creatives and performers deliver an exciting programme inspired by Wirral’s unique location and heritage.
