I’m so excited to be back at the on Saturday 27th September, along with !!

Join in the fun from 10-4pm! The festival stalls from local businesses are along Victoria Road and St Andrew’s Road, there are children’s activities in Claremont Gardens, and live music and a beer tent in St Andrew’s Square. PLUS the famous Surbiton parade at midday!

We’ll have lots of lovely Usborne books for you to browse, for babies right up to teenagers! Pick up some fabulous Halloween activity books 🎃 and start your Christmas shopping 🎅😁

📚 Are you passionate about helping children to love reading, or do you know anyone who is? 📚

Anyone who becomes an Usborne partner in September 2025, will receive five extra beautiful books in their starter kit!

Children who read for pleasure are much more likely to overcome disadvantage caused by inequalities. Being able to read can change a child's life by increasing social mobility, empowering them to flourish and break the chain of poverty that they may have been born into.

As an Usborne partner for eleven years, I work with many local schools and nurseries, running events to get children excited about books, and encouraging reading for pleasure. These events also provide the schools and nurseries with free books donated by Usborne, ensuring that ALL the children are able to have access to brilliant fiction and non-fiction books to inspire their learning.

We would love to work with lots more schools and nurseries, so that even more children can benefit, so we are looking for enthusiastic book-lovers to join us in our quest!

We’ve had a fantastic time again at !!

and have both put on brilliant interactive shows at for all the little ones, it’s always a magical experience to be involved in ✨

Massive thanks to Simon and the team at the fabulous , who always look after us so well, and also to all of the festival volunteers, (especially the volunteers from at our venue!) who make it happen every year, you are all amazing! 🤩

We had a brilliant first day at yesterday! I’m there again today at the for another day of fun with the That’s not my…. and Wind in the Willlows events.

All of these books help young people to understand what it's like to see the world from another person's perspective, and promote kindness and inclusion.

I'm so excited to be taking the Usborne books to the New Malden Fire Station Open Day again this year!!

It's on Sunday 1st June;
11am-12pm early opening for neurodiverse needs
12pm - 4pm open to all

It's always such a fun day for little ones, with a chance to meet the firefighters, dress up, and look inside the fire engines 🚒🚒🚒 there may even be a turntable ladder to see!

Also family activities, BBQ, and ice creams! It's completely free to come along, and the stalls there like mine will all be donating money to , so do come along and support your local firefighters 🧑‍🚒👩‍🚒😁

I'll have lots of fun Usborne books to browse and buy, including reading and activity books to keep little ones off those screens!

My Story

Hi, I’m Michelle and I’ve been an Usborne organiser since May 2014. These two little book-bugs are the reason I joined, as well as loving books myself!

I decided to go back to work part-time after my second maternity leave, and was looking for something else to do from home, to keep me busy and bring in some money, but allow me to spend more time with my girls. I’d already bought many Usborne books for the girls and for presents, so when I stumbled on an Usborne stall at a teddy bears picnic, I couldn’t believe my luck - I just didn’t realise there was a such a thing as a book business you could run from home! I signed up the next day, and haven’t looked back!

I gave up my day job two years later, and now I’m a full-time ‘Usborne lady’ and Team Leader. I love the changes it’s brought to my life; freedom not just to be my own boss and work when I like, but also to be creative, try new things and learn so many new skills. With the support of my own lovely mentor, the Usborne Books at Home team, and a whole band of Usborne organisers throughout the UK and Europe, it feels very much like a big family and I’m very grateful that I’ve found somewhere that I feel like I belong :) My girls are turning out to be avid readers, and so the Usborne magic really has worked for us in so many ways.

As the owner of a small business I so appreciate when you make orders with me - us small business owners really DO a happy dance when people use our services and expertise! :D
