Next week we will be sending text invitations to our patients for Flu Vaccines using a new system called Self Book.
You will be able to book your appointment directly via the link, without the need to ring the surgery.

We will be inviting all over 65 yr old patients and clinically eligible 18-64 year olds (those with long term conditions such as Asthma, COPD etc)

We have ordered a flu vaccine for every eligible patient, these are due to be delivered the first week of October.

We will be holding a flu Vaccination clinic for Arden House patients on Saturday 8th October from 9am at Arden House surgery.

We will phone or write to anyone that can not book via their smart phone.

Flu Vaccinations for over 50s - We will be inviting the remaining patients aged over 50 in early October.

NHS England have this morning confirmed that GP practices will be closed on the Bank Holiday, Monday September 19th 2022 for The Queen's funeral.

Patients who had an appointment booked on that day will be contacted individually.

NHS 111 will offer an urgent, on the day service on Monday September 19th. The practice will re-open as normal on Tuesday September 20th.

If you normally collect your prescriptions from the practice, or need to visit the surgery in person for anything else, please ensure you do this before the weekend.

We have been asked to make patients aware that there is a Scam text being sent out, targeting patients and it looks like its come from the practice.

the SCAM TEXT is asking patients to order Covid Testing Kits.

If you get a text saying you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Omicron and you must order a test kit. DO NOT RESPOND and DO NOT PAY the 99p postage fee.

Please share, as this scam is targeting everyone.

Due to high levels of Covid related staff absence, the practice is under extreme pressure. As a result, from tomorrow 4th of January, all GP and nurse appointments will be telephone only. The clinician will arrange with you to come in to be seen if clinically necessary. Please DO NOT attend the surgery unless specifically requested to do so, we will leave the prescription box in the foyer, and all admin queries should be submitted via our website. If you have a prebookef blood test please attend as normal as these are going ahead as planned. Please remember that face coverings remain compulsory in all healthcare settings. and The team at Arden House would like to thank all our patients for their understanding at this difficult time.

We always experience a surge of calls following vaccination announcements, and whilst we are delighted to see so many keen to have their vaccine, please remember that we are hearing of the vaccine programme at the same time as you. We will need some time to work through the logistics, and are keen to avoid extra telephone demand on an already busy Monday morning, so please could we ask you NOT to call us about booster queries tomorrow (Monday 13th). It is vital that those who need urgent medical attention are able to get through. We will share further details when we have them.

We are now inviting our patients over 55 years old for a Covid vaccine on 19th March so please check your mobile phones for your text invite, if you have a message from us follow the instructions to book.
If we don’t have your up to date mobile number please contact us via our website and we will update our records and send a new invitation.

The first phase of the NHS Covid-19 vaccination programme has started. When it is the right time people will receive an invitation to come forward.
For most people this will be a letter either from their GP or the national NHS. This letter will include all the information you will need to book appointments, including your NHS number.

Please do not contact the NHS or your GP to get an appointment until you get this letter.

Information on the vaccine is available on the NHS.UK website.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, GP Practices are now being asked to limit the number of patients attending surgeries for face to face appointments. This is in order to slow the spread of the virus.

When booking appointments please be considerate:

🔹Could it be done as a telephone consultation instead?
