Significance: March is dedicated to highlighting ovarian cancer, which is the sixth most common cancer in women.

The Problem: Two-thirds of women are diagnosed too late, making the cancer harder to treat.

Impact: Approximately 11 women die from the disease every day in the UK.

Goal: To improve survival rates by encouraging early recognition of symptoms.

Prostrate Cancer Awareness Month UK
Focus: It aims to raise awareness of the disease, which is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with 1 in 8 men diagnosed in their lifetime.

"March the Month" Challenge: Participants are encouraged to walk or wheel 11,000 steps a day throughout March to represent the 11,000 men who die from the disease annually.

Key Action: Men are urged to check their risk using the Prostate Cancer UK online risk checker.
