Spring has arrived… and the Mornington Court garden is waking up 🌿✨
After months of winter stillness, our garden is beginning to bloom back into life. Fresh green shoots are pushing through, flowers are starting to open, and the space is slowly transforming into a vibrant, peaceful haven once again.
There’s something special about this time of year—it’s a reminder of renewal, growth, and the simple joy of being outdoors. For our residents, it means more opportunities to relax in the sunshine, enjoy fresh air, and reconnect with nature right on their doorstep.

Today, the gents enjoyed a well-deserved outing to the pub. Making the most of the beautiful weather with a relaxing “pint of your finest.” There were smiles all round, plenty of laughter, and great company shared in the sunshine 🌿

There’s nothing this lovely lady enjoys more than helping out with breakfast in the mornings ☀️🍳

From collecting trays to greeting each resident with a warm smile, she brings such a special touch to the start of the day. And of course, she wouldn’t be without her favourite pinny 💛

It’s these little moments of warmth and purpose that create true person centred care 🌟

🌳 International Day of Forests 🌳

Today we’re celebrating the beauty and importance of forests across the world and we feel incredibly lucky to call the New Forest our home 💚

Being surrounded by such natural beauty means we can enjoy peaceful walks, fresh air, and wonderful wildlife every single day. Whether it’s spotting ponies, listening to the birds, or simply taking in the calming views, the forest brings so much joy and wellbeing to us all 🌿

There’s something truly special about stepping outside and having this on our doorstep , a place to relax, reflect, and connect with nature.

🌸 Flower Arranging Fun 🌸

This morning we enjoyed a lovely flower arranging session with our wonderful residents. It was the perfect way to spend the morning, and now the home is looking absolutely stunning, filled with colourful flowers just in time for Mother’s Day. 🌷

🥕 Soup-er Fun peeling vegetables 🥔

Today the residents rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into peeling vegetables for our homemade soup. There was plenty of concentration… a few wonky carrots… and lots of laughter along the way!

Some of us discovered we’re excellent vegetable peelers, while others decided the best job was quality control (making sure everything looked good enough for the pot!). 👀
