📢 Important Update on NMC Prescribing Guidelines – What It Means for You 📢

From 1st June, the NMC is reinforcing its guidelines around face-to-face consultations with a qualified prescriber before any prescription-only treatments are given.

✅ At Forest Medical Aesthetics, nothing is changing.

Sally is an ANP with nurse prescriber qualification. This means you’ll always be assessed and treated safely, legally, and professionally – by the same experienced clinician you know and trust. No need to see a separate prescriber!

⚠️ A word of caution: If you’re attending a clinic and you haven’t seen a prescriber face to face, there’s a high chance their insurance is invalid. This puts your safety at risk.

Your care, safety, and confidence are our top priorities. 💉✨

It’s been two years since my initial aesthetics training with 🫶💉- that’s flown by!

A little shout out to all the lovely people who trust me with your beautiful faces ♥️

I remain full time in my nursing job, this won’t change any time soon- being an IBD nurse specialist is something I love and after 12 years nursing, despite the challenges, I still enjoy it more each year.

Aesthetics is obviously totally different, but rewarding in other ways and I’m so happy I chose to start up my weekly clinic with 🫶

✨ Now summer is officially over, it’s a great time of year to book in for a chemical peel.

✨ Our skin renews naturally every 28 days but over time this process can slow down. This can lead to blemishes, enlarged pores, wrinkles and dullness.

✨ Chemical peels contain exfoliating actives, the choice of peel will be tailored to your skin type and desired outcome. They will remove the very outer layer of your skin to approve its overall appearance. Think of this as a really good exfoliating treatment. You will not be peeling excessively.

✨ The peels with me in clinic are a superficial peel, the pictures you may see online of significant peeling are deep peels and best left to dermatologists.

📣 Important update re availability 📣

As many of you know, I still work full time in my NHS Specialist Nurse role 👩‍⚕️

This has meant my availability has been mostly limited to Fridays which I know doesn’t suit everyone 👎🏻

I have now rearranged my diary and have availability on some Thursday evenings and Saturdays in addition to the usual Friday clinics 🙌

My diary is now open up until the end of December and all appointments are bookable via the portal at the top of my page ✨

Why is the consultation prior to treatment so important⁉️

Firstly, not all treatments are right for everyone and I will always be honest with you/refuse treatments that I think either won’t give you the desired outcome or will make things worse.

Secondly, there are so many different options available and I don’t expect you to know exactly what you want to book in for. Often there will be multiple choices, we can discuss your desired outcome, budget and timeframes, ensuring we come up with a plan that is most likely to make you happy! ✨

We will also go through your medical history ensuring no contraindications for treatment 👩‍⚕️

All of my treatment times have a consultation factored in and whilst it is possible usually to go ahead with treatment on the day, if you wish; you can book in for a free, no obligation consultation to discuss options ✨

Finally I also think when trusting someone with your face, it’s quite nice to meet them first!- I would want to anyway!! 🙈
