Chestnut Court Care Home Chestnut Court Care Home is a 25 bedroom residential care home located in New Milton.

Chestnut Court is a homely and comfortable residence, where our highly skilled team offer compassionate care for those with dementia, Alzheimer’s or other conditions. Chestnut Court Care Home is situated in an enviable location, between the stunning views of the New Forest and Dorset Coast in the south-west of Hampshire. The home is within walking distance of central New Milton, offering a variety

of local amenities including shops, banks and several churches. Chestnut Court is a homely and comfortable residence, decorated to the highest standards and fully equipped to meet our residents’ needs. The home is surrounded by picturesque, landscaped gardens, providing the perfect place for our residents to relax and securely enjoy the delights that can only be provided by an English country garden.

‘Friendly and relaxed’, ‘a home to be proud of’ and ‘sensitive to every need’. These are some of the wonderful comments we have received from visitors to the home, who regularly speak highly of the quality of care, warm welcome and comfortable atmosphere provided at Chestnut Court. In addition to standard residential care, we are able to provide support for individuals afflicted with a wide range of specific medical conditions. Our highly skilled team offer compassionate care for those suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or those recovering from a stroke. Our dedicated team of staff are supported by external nursing and medical staff, to ensure we are catering fully for the needs of our residents. All Chestnut Court staff are also experienced in helping hearing-impaired residents, using visual aids and alternative communication methods. We are very proud of the comfortable, homely environment we have created here at Chestnut Court providing a peaceful sanctuary for our residents where they enjoy spending their time.

It was a busy week for the residents of Chestnut Court last week, with a packed schedule of activities to meet their physical, social and creative needs. 🏀 🗣️ 🎨

The residents enjoyed taking part in arts & crafts, playing board games, dancing and making Welsh flags in preparation for St David’s Day. They also had a lot of fun playing a game of balloon volley.

The residents of Chestnut Court got creative this week with some bird-related art projects. Some residents designed their own birdhouses while others sketched beautiful pictures of different species of birds 🐦‍⬛🦜🪿

This week we took a trip on the Beritaz minibus to visit a local garden centre, one of our residents’ favourite places to spend some time. Everyone had a lovely time looking around the garden centre before we stopped off at the café to enjoy some refreshments.

One of our residents even made a new friend at the garden centre, a German Shepherd which is his favourite dog breed 🐶 it absolutely made his day.

We had a busy start to the week at Chestnut Court with one-to-one sessions with residents and staff, the continuation of a chess game that has lasted three weeks so far ♟️, going through our books and games, and even some pamper time with manicures for the residents 💅

We also welcomed Nick, one of our regular entertainers, who had our residents (and a few staff members) singing and dancing along to his songs. It was a great day and an uplifting way to start the week.

We had a lot of fun celebrating Valentine’s Day last week at Chestnut Court 💕

We displayed the residents’ finished Valentine's themed artwork which made the perfect decorations for the home. In the morning, we welcomed some of our residents' family members and started to prepare for our Valentine’s Day party in the afternoon.

Both residents and visitors had a great time at the party. We enjoyed some fantastic musical entertainment from Lisa and took some photos with our Valentine’s Day themed photo frame. It was a lovely way for the residents to celebrate Valentine’s Day together.

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️

This week our residents have loved taking part in activities themed around V-day. We enjoyed a great art and social session, where the residents finished making their Valentine’s love hearts 💝 while enjoying a chat and cup of tea. Everyone enjoyed sharing stories of their loves and reminiscing about heartwarming relationships.

Residents have been spending a lovely few days at Chestnut Court, relaxing, enjoying their favourite pastimes, preparing for Valentine’s Day with some arts and crafts and sharing lots of laughs. They enjoyed some musical-based activities, taking part in a sing-along while playing percussion instruments.

The residents have also been completing our feedback survey (with the support of our staff when needed), which is a great opportunity for us to get their thoughts on the home, any suggestions for improvements, as well as their thoughts on things like activities, food, décor etc.

We are looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day next week at Chestnut Court ❤️

The residents have been busy working on their Valentine’s inspired artwork and crafts, ready to fill the home with love for Valentine’s Day.

Wall displays are being made to decorate the home and our photo booth frame is being given a makeover, covered with hearts ready to take photos with our valentines 💌

After all the fun of the birthday party, where our guest of honour enjoyed a brilliant birthday cake made and designed by our chef, we made sure there was the opportunity for some family time. The resident and his loved ones spent some time in our upstairs lounge area where they could relax and spend quality time together celebrating his birthday. 🎂 🥳

One of our wonderful residents celebrated a very special birthday at Chestnut Court last week. We were all delighted to help him celebrate his birthday and some very special guests joined us for the occasion. Sammy the pony and Scamp the dog came along to join in with the party and were a big hit with all the residents. When they were done partying, Sammy and Scamp went to say hello to some of the other residents in their rooms. 🐶🐴

Our residents enjoyed getting involved in Chinese New Year celebrations at Chestnut Court earlier this week. The residents’ wonderful year of the snake themed drawings and crafts made great additions to our decorations. We then held a quiz about Chinese New Year, the traditions and festivities. Everyone had a lot of fun welcoming in the year of the snake 🐍

There was lots of laughter and some healthy competition when the residents took part in a game of balloon volleyball this week. Things might have gotten a bit chaotic but everyone had a lot of fun and got a good amount of exercise 🏐🎈 Thankfully, despite all the fun the chess board wasn’t disturbed…somehow!

This week in our arts and crafts session, our residents made their own bird houses. The resident always enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife that visit our garden. We will be hanging these in the trees and hoping that the beautiful bird houses will encourage even more visitors to our garden this year 🐦‍⬛

The residents of Chestnut Court were delighted to be entertained by the Sunshine Band this week, with a fantastic musical performance. Everyone had a lot of fun dancing and clapping along to the music, it was such an uplifting way to spend the afternoon. The band certainly brought some sunshine into the home. 🎶🎤🪇

The residents started their week with an activity to benefit their minds and bodies. The wonderful Darren visited us to run an exercise session for the residents. They enjoyed moving to the music being played and following Darren’s lead in some gentle exercises. It was great to get moving on a Monday and start the week with a focus on wellbeing.
