Understanding the brain you live in.

What is it like to be neurodivergent — and learn to love your brain? 💛

A vital and eye-opening session for you, your children, your partner, or your colleagues.

Tuesday 10 February | 7–8pm — just £10, including refreshments. The price has been carefully set to make this session affordable and within reach for as many people as possible.

Join Mel Sims, BBC Neurodivergent Coach and client at Wellness@Eight. Mel works with adults and teenagers via Zoom and from her private coaching practice in Lymington.

Diagnosed with ADHD at 48 during menopause, Mel finally understood a lifetime of burnout, emotional overwhelm, masking, and relentless self-criticism despite being successful, capable, and outwardly “fine.” She later recognised she is AuDHD, sharing autistic traits common to many with ADHD.

This talk explores:
🌿Burnout, masking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and shame
🌿Why neurodivergent people feel “off script” in a world not built for them
🌿Executive functioning challenges (time, organisation, emotions)
🌿 Why many ADHDrs are self-employed
🌿The freedom that comes with unmasking and self-acceptance

Mel previously ran London ad agencies, including as Director of a £110m group, before retraining as an ICF Associate Practitioner. She now has 800+ hours of coaching experience and is known for being warm, direct, and intuitive.

This session aims to provide a safe, relaxed space to learn, beyond TikTok stereotypes.
