Grey Gables is registered to provide care to 24 frail elderly/dementia residents, offering long term and respite facilities for those in need of our specialist knowledge and care. Care, where it is required, will be skilful and discreet, allowing maximum dignity and privacy. Aspects of behaviour resulting from mental frailty are approached with appropriate responses from staff that have been trained to provide an environment of peace and tranquillity. We use music therapy, reminiscence and validation to promote feelings of self-worth in each individual resident. Our activity organiser provides a program of stimulation to all who wish to take part, whilst suitable outings are arranged to keep links with the community. Members from our local Church visits every month to hold a service for those wishing to attend. All of our residents are carefully assessed before entering Grey Gables making sure that we are able to meet their needs. District nursing, local GP surgery and associated Community Services frequently visit. Central to the ethos of Grey Gables is the intention to provide our residents with dignity and understanding, thus enabling them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. Relatives have peace of mind and security in the knowledge that their loved ones are cared for appropriately and have a home for as long as they wish.
