🇬🇧 The Royal Gurkha Rifles Parade in Folkestone

On Sunday, 12th October 2025, the First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles will proudly parade through the streets of Folkestone to exercise their Freedom of the Town — an honour first granted to them in 2004.

📅 Sunday 12th October 2025
🕘 9:15am – 10:45am
📍 Starting at Folkestone Town Hall

The event will begin with a formal ceremony outside the Town Hall, followed by a parade through Guildhall Street, Sandgate Road, West Cliff Gardens, and The Leas, concluding at the Garden of Remembrance.

Local residents and visitors are warmly encouraged to line the streets to show their support for the troops on this very special occasion. 🙌

Please note there will be some temporary road closures and traffic disruption during the event.

What a night to remember! 🌟 Maureen and Charlotte had the pleasure of supporting our local New Romney Am Dram group, and wow, what an incredible performance! Seeing Maureen join in with the dancing brought smiles to everyone’s faces. One of the performers even shared that they got a bit emotional seeing her enjoy the show so much. Moments like these truly make all the hard work worth it! ❤️✨
