YOGA CLASS: I now have a Hatha Yoga class up and running on Mondays at 7:15pm. This is at the Magnus Sports centre for the next few weeks but will be returning to the Congregational church hall from 10th July, cost is £10 per class. Please let me know if you would like to attend 🙏

The Journey so far.......

After completing my Yoga teacher training with Yoga therapist and Homeopath John Boulderstone in 2003, I started teaching weekly Yoga classes, originally starting out at the Natural Health therapy centre on Lombard Street, Newark, where I remained for over 4 years. Towards the end of 2007 I decided to realise my dream of opening Newark’s first Yoga studio and opened Breathe Yoga centre in Baldertongate, all classes were moved to this location when it first opened its doors on the 2nd january 2008, with the aim to continue to provide detailed and knowledgable instruction in Yoga in a space that was warm, welcoming and conducive to Yoga practice. I enjoy working with complete beginners and introducing them to the amazing benefits that Yoga can provide. All Yoga classes at Breathe Yoga centre are limited to no more than 12 students, so each student gets the individual attention that they require, this provides a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow your Yoga practice at a pace that is right for you.

I have had a daily practice of Yoga and meditation since 2001 and have studied with many of the leading teachers of Yoga, such as David Swenson, David Williams, Hamish Hendry, Kausthub Desikachar, Brian Cooper and Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. I also attended weekly Buddhism meditation groups during the mid 90’s.

Over the years I have completed various Yoga Teacher training programs, including Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Traditional Thai Yoga massage. I have also been a Reiki master since 2000.

Recently I have become a Qualified counsellor with a level 5 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy with an enhanced DBS check.
