It is such a simple truth, so why don’t we do it?

Why do we insist on listening to all of that negative drivel in our heads, that we make up!

Does it make us feel good? Nope
Does it solve problems? Nope
Does it let us grow? Nope
Does it hold us back? Yes
Does it stop us being us? Yes
Does it stop you achieving your amazing dreams? Yes
Does it stop you believing in you? Yes
Does it make you anxious? Yes

So why do it?

Trouble is, It’s not as simple as thinking positively, if it was we would all be doing it, all the time!

We are wired to think negatively, we needed this for survival….many many years ago!

We absolutely love patterns, again it’s how our brain works, so our thoughts are on repeat, same negative thoughts, day in day out.

We don’t question our thoughts/beliefs enough, we just accept them as being true - we are all conditioned.

We like feeling safe, comfort zone is called that for a reason.

BUT It is far easier than you think to break this cycle, we have the most incredible minds and bodies so isn’t it time you used them for you instead if against you?

I absolutely love this!

How much time, emotion & energy do we give thinking about people who may have hurt us, who we feel have not lived up to our expectations or maybe disappointed us?

Our chattering minds can go into overdrive when we feel someone has upset us.

But who’s suffering?

I guarantee it’s not the person who you are filling up your headspace with…….they won’t even have the slightest clue you’re wasting all this time thinking about them.

Remember you can choose what to focus on, so choose to focus on the people who love and support you, give them your precious headspace!

This is how we work as humans:

First we have a thought, we may not even be aware of our thought.

Second, we have an emotional reaction to that thought, it creates a feeling that we can sense in our bodies.

Third, we do something based on how we feel, the actions we take are driven by how we feel….this creates our life.

Good system?

Mmmm what if your head is full of negative thoughts? How do you think your life will look and how do you think you’ll be feeling?

It’s how we work, but when we want things to be different, we’ve got to flip it on it’s head, reverse engineer it. Do, Feel, Think!

So, do something different, take action and preferably a small step towards what you want, then your feelings around what you are doing will be different and you’ll be thinking different thoughts!

It’s easier than you think and and I are on a mission to help people change how they feel, get perspective on fear, eliminate anxiety, feel like you’re back in control and be happier!

First visit to Africa - simply stunning!

We make soooo many of decisions from a place of fear, I would even go further and say almost all our decisions are fear based.

Fear rules our lives, it can be up front and in our face and show up as stress, anxiety, depression etc.

But it’s also subtle and can show up as procrastination, self sabotage, poor relationships, lack of money, not feeling good enough, it shows up in so many ways we may not even recognise it as fear……..but it keeps us stuck!

Mmmm let me think, the single biggest reason people don’t succeed (in all areas) is because they don’t even start……that is fear!

We often forget or get so consumed by what we are doing that we don’t stop and do the little things.

Take time today to listen, really listen to what others say, smile at anyone and everyone you come across, say a few nice words to that person you’re standing next to, it’s so easy to be that little bit kinder and it’s so wonderful how we can easily brighten up someone’s day!

Look up, engage, take the time - you will change how you feel just as easily as you will change how they feel.

A thought is not good or bad, happy or sad, right or wrong, hurtful or empowering, upsetting or enlightening………it is none of those things.

A thought is neutral, it’s only when you give it meaning, when you attach a label to it, when you focus on it that it then has power, power you’ve given it and yep we often then let it ruin our day!
