We’re still feeling incredibly proud to have been awarded a Top 20 Care Home in the East Midlands for 2026, for the third year running 🎉

This recognition means so much to us as it’s based on reviews from our residents and their families and friends. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their experiences and support us.

A huge thank you also goes to our dedicated team who go above and beyond each and every day. And of course, to our wonderful residents, you are at the heart of everything we do.

On Friday, our residents were joined by their family members for a wonderful morning out, making the most of the beautiful sunshine. Together, we enjoyed a gentle walk down to the YMCA café, where everyone could relax with a choice of tea or coffee and a delicious slice of cake.

It was a lovely opportunity for residents and their loved ones to spend quality time together, sharing stories, laughter, and enjoying the fresh air. The atmosphere was warm and cheerful, and it was clear to see how much these moments mean to everyone involved.

Our residents said they thoroughly enjoyed the morning, and we all look forward to many more outings like this in the future!

💫 MAKE A WISH, RED ROOFS 💕

Last month, our dedicated team members Rebecca & Rachael had the absolute honour of supporting our beautiful resident Shirley to attend her youngest son’s wedding 💒

Before leaving for the venue, our team made sure Shirley felt as special as the day itself, helping with her makeup, painting her nails, and styling her hair just the way she loves it. Shirley smiled and said, “I feel like the queen” 👑💕

The day was filled with love, laughter, and a few happy tears as Shirley watched her son marry his beautiful bride. It was a truly unforgettable occasion 💞

In Shirley’s own words:
“The day was perfect and joyful. My son looked handsome and his wife looked beautiful. It was lovely meeting all of their friends and new family, I had a wonderful day.” 💕

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do, making wishes come true and creating memories to cherish forever 💖

🎉 Help Us Celebrate Eileen’s 105th Birthday on the 19th May! 🎉

One of our wonderful residents, Eileen, is turning the incredible age of 105 this May, and we want to make this milestone birthday one she will never forget.

To mark this amazing occasion, we are inviting family, friends, local schools, community groups, clubs, businesses, and kind-hearted members of our community to help us spread some joy by sending Eileen a birthday card.

Our goal is to collect 105 birthday cards. One for every amazing year, and we would love your help to make it happen!

Today we brought a little extra fun to our morning with a wacky fancy dress day… because why not?! 🎉

Residents and staff embraced the silliness with colourful wigs, bright sunglasses, and plenty of personality. We even added some karaoke into the mix, and it wasn’t long before the room was filled with singing, laughter, and lots of smiles 🎤😄

It was wonderful to see everyone joining in and enjoying the moment together, such a great way to spend a Tuesday morning!

This morning our residents enjoyed a wonderful start to the day with two lively games of St George’s Day picture bingo.

There was lots of fun and laughter as everyone got involved, all while enjoying a nice cup of tea and some biscuits.

Yesterday, our lovely residents enjoyed a wonderful arts and crafts session making their very own bookmarks 📚✨

Residents had the chance to express their creativity using a variety of colours, patterns, and designs, each bookmark as unique as the person who made it.

The finished pieces turned out beautifully, and there was a real sense of pride in what everyone created. Not only are these bookmarks practical, but they also hold special meaning as handmade keepsakes.

Activities like these are a great way to support wellbeing, encourage creativity, and create joyful moments together, and this session was no exception 💛

This week our residents have been busy getting creative making their own Saint George's Day bunting.

There were lots of beautifully decorated flags produced, with everyone enjoying the chance to express their creativity and take part in a shared activity.

The morning was made even better with plenty of lovely chats over a nice cup of tea, bringing everyone together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere ☕💬
