We’re delighted to share some fantastic news… Red Roofs has done it again with a hat-trick! 🎉

For the third year in a row, Red Roofs has been recognised as one of the Top 20 Care Homes in the East Midlands in the Care Home Awards 2026 by carehomes.co.uk.

These awards recognise the top-rated care homes in each region of the UK, based on reviews from residents and their families and friends, making this achievement even more meaningful.

Trish and her dedicated team were thrilled to receive this award. It’s a true reflection of their hard work, commitment, and the genuine care they provide every single day. This success wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of residents, families, and friends.

At Red Roofs, we truly are one big family, and this recognition shines through in everything we do.

📱✨ Exciting News at Our Red Homes ✨📱

We are delighted to share that we now have a Tiny Tablet available at each of our Red Homes!

Our residents have been thoroughly enjoying their time exploring everything the Tiny Tablet has to offer. From listening to their favourite music 🎶 and taking part in quizzes, to completing puzzles and playing interactive games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the great things about the Tiny Tablet is that it’s fully portable, meaning it can easily be taken to residents who may have mobility difficulties, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to take part and enjoy the experience 💛
It can be used independently for quiet one-to-one time, or as part of group activities, bringing residents together for shared fun and conversation.

We’ve already seen so many positive benefits, including:

💛 Boosting wellbeing and mood – Music, familiar activities, and gentle stimulation can lift spirits, reduce anxiety, and bring comfort and joy.
🧠 Supporting cognitive stimulation – Quizzes, puzzles, and games help keep minds active, encourage memory recall, and promote mental engagement.
🤝 Encouraging social interaction – Group games and shared activities spark conversation, laughter, and connection between residents.
🎯 Providing meaningful engagement – A wide variety of activities ensures there is always something enjoyable and purposeful to take part in, tailored to individual interests.

It’s wonderful to see the enjoyment it brings across our homes, as well as the positive impact it has on wellbeing, social interaction, and cognitive stimulation. The Tiny Tablet has quickly become a valued and much-loved part of our activities programme ✨

✨ Our Beautiful New Lounge at Red Court ✨
We’re so pleased to share our newly created and decorated lounge , a calm and cosy space for residents to relax, read a book, or enjoy a quiet moment.
This space isn’t just for our residents, family and friends are warmly invited to use the lounge during visits, whether that’s for a catch-up over a cup of tea, sharing stories, or simply spending quality time together in comfortable surroundings.
Creating spaces where loved ones can connect is so important to us, and we hope this new lounge will be enjoyed by everyone who walks through our doors 💛

A Huge Thank You to Sharon & Nigel Lale and family for treating us all at Red Roofs to a wonderful evening at the Riverside last week. This generous gesture was truly appreciated by everyone 🙏
They also kindly sent vouchers to every staff member who couldn’t attend either of the evenings, which meant so much to the whole team.
Our dear Aunty Joan will be greatly missed by all her Red Roofs family. ❤️

✨Discovering the Magic of Nostalgia ✨

We’re always looking for meaningful ways to connect with our residents, and sometimes the most powerful moments come from the past. 🕰

Familiar songs, classic TV clips, and reminiscence therapies are helping spark joy, conversation, and connection across our care communities. 💬❤️

To our Red Homes Community,

It has been brought to our attention that the Nottingham Post has posted an article about a care home in Mansfield with a Red Homes Healthcare image in the photograph.

We want to reach out to our families and community to confirm that this article does not relate to any care home in our Red Homes Healthcare Group but relates to a care home in Mansfield that RHHG sold in 2021.

It looks as though the signage photograph has been downloaded from an old Google page. We have contacted the Nottingham Post to request its removal and correction and are working with our legal team to resolve this as quickly as possible.

As always, the well-being of our residents and the trust of our families mean everything to us. We are committed to maintaining the high standards of care you've come to expect from us.

Thank you for your understanding and your continued support of our Red Homes family.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at enquiries@redhomes.com.

Here's what our homes have been up to this past week! It’s been a busy and heartwarming week across our Red Homes family:

☕️ Residents enjoyed a lovely social coffee morning with plenty of chatter and smiles

⭐️ A huge congratulations to Mel Smedley, who was awarded Star of the Month for her fantastic work and dedication

🎂 We celebrated some wonderful milestones - John’s 90th birthday and Lilian’s 88th - with cake, music, and lots of celebrations

🐣Our Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success, and the Easter Bunny made a special visit with treats for everyone

🎯 There’s been plenty of fun indoors too, with floor games and chuck a duck bringing out lots of laughter

🐍 Residents also enjoyed a brilliant animal therapy session, meeting a bearded dragon, chameleon, corn snake, and other friendly animals

Thank you to all our teams for creating such special moments across our homes! 🐣🎉🌸
