In order to meet our clients’ individual needs, we at SureCare Newark ensure that a full care needs assessment is completed by our experienced staff, so that we can get to know you, your routines, living situations and personal preferences to establish a suitable detailed support or care plan. We also seek to ensure that our clients’ needs are thoroughly re-assessed as often as required, so that the care and support provided has the flexibility to respond to any change of needs. Through our services, we strive to assist our clients in maintaining their dignity and independence at home, as well as encouraging participation within our local community wherever possible. SureCare Newark has rigorous recruitment and in-house training procedures, allowing us to consistently provide high quality amongst our team of care professionals. All of our staff are subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance, and are regularly monitored and supported in their role. Full extensive training is provided, with career progression and personal development actively encouraged throughout. This event is open to clients, families, carers, and members of the local community. Everyone is welcome — especially those living with dementia or caring for someone who is.
Free Transport Available
We will provide free transportation for our most vulnerable guests and anyone in the local community who needs help getting to the event. Please let us know when you RSVP.

☀️ Heatwave Warning: Keeping Pets Safe in the Summer Sun ☀️
With scorching temperatures already sweeping across the UK – and some areas expecting highs of over 32°C this weekend – it’s more important than ever to keep our pets safe in the heat. 🐾

At Petpals, all our franchises follow strict procedures and work in line with the TACC Scales (Temperature, Age, Condition, and Coat) to determine whether it’s safe to walk your dog. The welfare of your pets always comes first, and we strongly encourage all pet owners to do the same when considering walks or outdoor time in high temperatures.

🚫 If in doubt – don’t take them out! A short walk can quickly turn into a serious risk during a heatwave.

📞 If our franchise teams determine it’s too hot for your dog to safely join their scheduled walk, they will contact you directly to discuss alternative arrangements – whether that’s a garden comfort break, indoor enrichment, or a rescheduled visit. Your pet’s wellbeing is always our top priority.

Here are some top tips to prevent heatstroke and sunburn in your pets:

🌿 Keep walks to early morning or late evening, when it’s cooler
💧 Ensure fresh, cool water is always available
🌳 Provide shaded areas if pets are outside
❄️ Use cooling mats or pet-safe cooling coats
🚗 NEVER leave pets in a parked car – even for a minute
🧴 Apply pet-safe sun cream to areas with thin fur (especially noses and ears)
🏠 Keep small pets like rabbits and guinea pigs out of direct sunlight

With high temperatures forecast this week, we’re taking extra steps to ensure all our clients and team members stay safe, cool, and comfortable.

At SureCare Newark, our care team is:
✅ Checking in more frequently
✅ Encouraging regular fluids
✅ Helping to keep living spaces cool
✅ Watching for signs of heat stress or dehydration

Top Tips for Everyone:
💧 Drink plenty of water
🧊 Avoid heavy meals and hot drinks
