Sometimes, the feedback we receive is too powerful to condense into a quick post—it deserves to be read in full.

Our Newbury office recently received an incredible email from a Care Home Manager about one of our Care Professionals, Rachel. Rachel visits one of their residents each week, providing companionship. Her background as a teacher shines through in everything she does and she consistently leaves a lasting impression on both those she supports, their families and, in this case, the teams she works alongside.

Rachel is one of the many exceptional individuals we are proud to call a Home Instead Care Professional. We don’t settle when it comes to recruitment. We look for people with heart, integrity, and compassion—and then we give them award-winning training and unwavering support from our experienced team.

If you have a loved one who needs care, we’d love to talk. Because we believe everyone deserves the very best—and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Home Instead. šŸ’œ

When a grandparent is living with dementia, it can be confusing and emotional for younger family members. But with the right support, children can still enjoy meaningful moments with the people they love.

Here are a few simple ways to help:
šŸ‘‚Use honest, age appropriate language
šŸ–¼Focus on shared activities like looking at photos or reading together
😊Reassure them it’s the condition that’s changing – not the person they love
šŸŽ¶Celebrate the little moments of joy, a smile, a song, a hug

Talking openly helps children stay connected and builds empathy for life.
