Sports Massage adapts techniques that have been around for centuries, and blends them with a greater knowledge of the human anatomy. Although termed ‘Sports Massage’, the physiological and psychological benefits are by no means restricted to sports people alone. Anyone suffering from tight muscles, poor flexibility or posture, soft tissue dysfunction or stress can benefit from Sports Massage. It particularly helps the skin, muscles, lymphatic system, central nervous system, circulation, blood pressure, bones and joints, lungs, adipose tissue, abdominal organs, metabolism and the mind. Massage works on many levels, and the unique way in which the various benefits can be combined to suit the individual make it a versatile and effective treatment method. Each client is unique and has different needs. At Starr Sports Massage, you will be assessed pre and post treatment and treated depending on your own requirements.
