We launched our Summer Holiday Children's Cinema Club this week at Falkland Grange Care Home, Newbury with a viewing of The Minecraft Movie. Just a reminder that next weeks movie on Tuesday, 12th August at 2:30 pm features Paddington Bear and his travels to Peru within Paddington discovers his beloved aunt has gone missing from the home of retired bears. Paddington and the Brown family head to the jungles of Peru to find her!

It has proven very popular with our residents, and this week the poem of choice was 'Hope is the thing with feathers' by Emily Dickinson! It serves as a reminder that hope is something that lives within us all. 🤍

We are never alone in times of tribulation, as hope is there, singing the voice of encouragement - how lovely! 🫂

Not only does Falkland Grange Care Home, Newbury have regular visits from our Pet Therapy partnership, but families are also welcome to visit with their special pets. Maude is no exception! A heartfelt welcome back to Keith who provided our gentlemen at Falkland Grange Care Home, Newbury with an authentic barber experience encompassing more than just a haircut. It's a blend of traditional techniques and involves skilled artistry, attention to detail, and a focus on the client's overall well-being and satisfaction. It was our pleasure to host an afternoon tea for members of the Royal British Legion. Dave, Del, and Adrian are regular visitors to our home and host talks with our residents - there is always a warm welcome at Falkland Grange Care Home, Newbury.

It was lovely to see them mix with our residents today for our Tea at 3 and Quiz. Thank you to the hospitality team for the beautiful high tea - as you can see, it was well enjoyed by all.😄🥪
