The Bluebells are looking beautiful around us at the moment. If you would like to learn how to paint them in Watercolour, buy and download our Online Bluebell Wood Workshop with Claire Warner Artist.

Professionally filmed, Claire teaches in a step by step style, you are able to pause or rewind when you need to.

You will receive a materials list, paint chart, images of the stages to follow along with and a top tips sheet.

Β£1 from the sale of each workshop goes to The Woodland Trust

Further Information: This class focusses on a pathway through the woods with bluebells under the trees creating beautiful colour. After creating the first wash you will be looking at keeping the light and guiding the eye through to the end of the path, by ensuring that your background, mid ground and foreground have the correct balance of colour and tone.

You will be using masking fluid and texture paste during this workshop. Learn how to paint effective trees, branches and leaves and blend the pathway into the woods.

New to this workshop you will be using sponges for the leaves and watercolour pencils to add tonal values and detail.

Join Rachel and Emily for a day of escapism at Treetops, to focus on all things Peri and Menopause on Saturday 25 April. 9:30am - 3:30pm.

It's a great friendly day, which gives you the opportunity to share and learn from others. I have picked up so many useful and wonderful tips from our previous Menopause days.

You will enjoy various classes throughout the day such as a Morning Yoga Flow with Rachel, who is qualified as a MenoYoga teacher, another string to her bow! This class will help with understanding the peri and menopause and how to adapt your yoga practice to benefit you during this transitional time. Learn which poses and types of breath work can help you.

Yoga is really beneficial in giving us tools to manage both the mental and physical changes during the peri and menopause years. We can build strength in both our bodies and minds and learn ways to cope with the list of symptoms we can struggles with such as temperature dysregulation, joint pain, changes in sleep, anxiety, low mood etc

There will also be some Sound Healing with Emily, some afternoon AromaYoga and Yin Yoga with Rachel, a creative session and of course delicious food throughout the day.

They day runs from 9:30am - 3:30pm and hopefully we will have some sunshine so we can enjoy the garden and woodlands at Treetops, it's a lovely peaceful location, which really helps you create that 'getting away from it all' feeling.

We will provide everything that you will need for the day, but you are very welcome to bring additional yoga mats, blankets and anything that will make your day more comfortable and cosy.

Some of you may know our eldest and his girlfriend are at Uni in China for a year, so we went out to visit them.

What an experience, from it's history of Emperors, dynasties and temples to it's modern technology, high rise buildings, ginormous shopping malls it has it all.

We went from Beijing to Xi'An to Shanghai, Jinan and Qingdao on the speedy, clean and incredibly efficient bullet trains.

We walked the Great Wall, which was amazing and at times so steep it tested my fear of heights, lungs and ham strings! But wow.

The sight of the Terracotta Warriors was incredible, the fact that this vast army was found in the 70s by some villagers digging a well. 🀯 All 6000 soldiers have different faces too, alongside their horses.

We had wonderful guides in the 3 main cities provided by and S&S guiding us in the last 2, their home city Jinan and then a weekend on the coast at Qingdao, where Beijing Olympics 2008 held their Sailing.

Home now, utterly exhausted, but now keen to go back and explore more, in particular to see some 🐼
It was great to see S&S in their new city, apartment and Uni, doing so well and making the most of the free time they have by exploring as much as they can.

had a brilliant 3 part series on last week on Ch5 called China, it's definitely worth a watch.

(Huge thanks to for all his help in organising our trip. If you need a holiday, he's your man 😁)
