📣 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀

We want to inform our community about a voluntary precautionary recall of certain 𝗦𝗠𝗔 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 issued by Nestlé UK & Ireland. This action has been taken due to the potential presence of a toxin (cereulide) in specific batches of these formulas.

🍼 What this means
• The recall is a 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 — there have been no confirmed reports of illness associated with the affected products to date.
• However, if you have one of the affected products at home, 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆.

📦 What to do if you have an affected product

Check the batch code on the tin/box (base or side of packaging).

If the batch is listed in the recall:
• Stop using the product immediately.
• Contact Nestlé with a photo of the batch code for a refund via their website or careline:

If the product was prescribed, please safely dispose of it and speak with your healthcare professional about safe alternatives.

*ADVANCED NOTICE*

The Downland Hybrid Pharmacy are closed on the afternoon of Wednesday 3 Dec 2025 from 12:30pm for essential practice led training. We will re-open on Wednesday evening at 5:30pm till 6:30pm to allow patients to collect their medication.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, these training sessions are very rare and are essential for all staff to attend.
