We had a fantastic time celebrating at Winchcombe Place with a fun and flavorful beer tasting experience for our residents! From crisp lagers to rich ales, everyone enjoyed exploring a variety of brews in great company.

It was a wonderful way to bring people together, share stories, and raise a glass to good times! 🍺💬

What a wonderful day out at Hillier Garden Centre! 🌸🌿
Our residents had a fantastic time exploring the beautiful flowers, enjoying the fresh air, and of course, relaxing with a lovely cup of tea. It was a joy to see so many smiles and moments of connection.
We’re already looking forward to our next outing!

🌟 It’s been a busy and joyful few days here at Winchcombe Place! 🌟

Our residents have enjoyed a variety of wonderful activities, including pampering sessions, board games, and some heartwarming pet therapy with our lovely Lulu 🐾.

We’ve had uplifting moments with our Senior Choir, creative fun in the Art & Craft Retreat Class 🎨, and tasty treats from the Winchcombe Baking Club 🧁. We also took some lovely trips down to the river — the perfect way to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature 🌿🚤.

A very special highlight was Jacqueline’s beautiful baptism at the church — a truly meaningful and emotional moment for everyone 💒✨.

And we couldn’t be prouder of Ron and Anne, who were featured in a special TV interview to celebrate their incredible 65th wedding anniversary! 💕📺 Their love story touched so many hearts and reminded us all of the beauty of lasting love.

✨ What a lovely start to the week we’ve had at Winchcombe Place! ✨

From our fun-filled WP Bingo to the ever-popular Big Quiz, our residents have been enjoying a wonderful variety of activities! 🧠🎉

We also celebrated a very special occasion — William’s birthday! 🎂🎈

They’ve got creative with arts and crafts, taken relaxing garden walks, enjoyed cozy cinema sessions, and lifted spirits with plenty of singing. 🎨🌿🎬🎶

A special highlight was a visit from the amazing children at Steps Ahead—they brought so much joy and laughter to our home! 💛👦👧

And to top it all off, we had some fabulous live music that had everyone clapping and tapping along. 🎤🎶

What a fantastic way to kick off the week—full of fun, connection, and smiles! 😊

🍦 How sweet was our National Ice Cream Day at Winchcombe Place! 🍦
We had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating with our lovely residents — full of smiles, laughter, and of course, delicious ice cream! From mixing and making to tasting and topping, everyone got involved in creating their perfect treat. A big thank you to all who made the day so special! 💙🍨

🌟 We’ve had a wonderful few days here at Winchcombe Place! 🌟

From our relaxing spa day and creative Baking Club, to another lovely trip to the Nature Discovery Centre in Thatcham – there’s always something special happening! 🧁🧘‍♀️🍃

We also had a fantastic visit from Trinity School students, who spent time playing games and chatting with our residents – such a heartwarming and joyful experience for everyone involved! 🎲👫❤️

We’ve been keeping active with seated yoga and exercise classes, enjoying craft sessions, and our cinema has been busier than ever with a great selection of films! 🎨🎥

So much fun, laughter, and connection – just the way we like it!

🌟 Last Days Activities at Winchcombe Place! 🌟

What a joyful few days we’ve had! 🎉✨

We gathered to celebrate the beautiful birthday of our dear Marilyn 🎂💐 — a day filled with love, laughter, and cake! 🎉💖

We also ventured out on a wonderful trip to the Nature Discovery Centre, where we explored the beauty of nature, and shared so many smiles together 🌿🦋🌞.

Back at home, our gardens were alive with joy as residents enjoyed peaceful visits among the flowers and playful afternoons of garden games 🌼🏸🪁.

Every moment has reminded us how special it is to create memories together, and how much happiness there is in the little things. 💕✨

Not that we’re competitive or anything… 👀
…but Winchcombe Place is currently in second place in the Care UK Grand Prix fundraiser for Race Against Dementia – and we’ve got our eye firmly on pole position. 🏁

Our amazing residents (and staff!) have raced their hearts out, decorated zimmer frames, cheered each other on, and thrown themselves into every F1-themed challenge we could throw at them.

Now, we just need a little extra fuel in the tank to get us over the finish line.

A huge thank you to Sonning Florist for their incredibly kind donation of fresh flowers to Winchcombe Place today. The flowers were absolutely beautiful.

Everyone had a wonderful time arranging the flowers into vases and placing them around the home , and they smell amazing. Thank you again for such a kind gesture.

We were also joined by young volunteers from local schools and colleges, here as part of Youth Employment Week. They supported residents during the activity and got a valuable first insight into what it’s like to work in a care environment.

We’re so grateful to Sonning Florist and to all the young people who helped make today special.

Today at Winchcombe Place, we celebrated in the sweetest way — with lots of fun, laughter, and, of course, plenty of chocolate! 🍬😊

We delivered delicious chocolates to all our residents and loved seeing their beautiful smiles light up the day. ❤️✨
