👓 Saturday appointments starting in March 👓

From Saturday 7th March, VJO will be offering eye examinations on Saturdays.

We know weekday appointments don’t always work for everyone — so we’re pleased to introduce a weekend option for patients who need a little more flexibility.

Whether it’s:
• A routine sight test
• Changes in your vision
• New glasses or lens concerns
• Or simply time for your regular check

Our full clinical eye examinations will now be available on selected Saturdays.

👀 Eye Myth Buster

Myth: “Headaches are always caused by stress or dehydration.”

Fact: While stress and dehydration can cause headaches, eye strain or an uncorrected vision issue can also be a contributing factor — especially if headaches tend to appear after reading, screen use, or at the end of the day.

An eye examination can help rule out whether your vision or eye comfort is playing a part.

👁️✨ October is Contact Lens Safety Month!
Whether you’re new to lenses or a long-time wearer, it’s the perfect time to check in with your contact lens habits and make sure your eyes are getting the care they deserve.

Here are a few golden rules to follow:
✅ Wash & dry your hands before handling your lenses
✅ Never sleep in lenses (unless your optometrist says it’s safe - ask us about Ortho K!)
✅ Stick to your replacement schedule — daily means daily!
✅ Only use recommended lens solutions — no shortcuts
✅ Keep up with regular check-ups to keep your eyes healthy and happy
