Good News - The British Acupuncture Council has finally confirmed that we can continue to treat for “urgent care or high need” during the lockdown period. 😊

Hi all, Following on from last night’s lockdown announcement, I’m am just now awaiting clarification from my governing body (The British Acupuncture Council) on whether I will have to close during lockdown or if I can continue to treat. I will confirm to all as soon as I hear (hopefully fairly soon)😊

Busy week in the clinic this week. Have seen lots of lovely patients and treated a whole range of conditions with acupuncture including migraines, back pain, rib pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia, stress and anxiety. Great week😊

Lots of exciting and positive news for The Little Acupuncture Clinic.

Firstly, I am now back treating. I’ve been working hard on ensuring I’m COVID-19 secure and have instituted new processes for the clinic.

Secondly, and much more exciting, I am in the process of moving clinic premises this weekend – I’m not moving far, just into Central Newbury. My new clinic address is 6a London Road, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 1JX.

In terms of finding me, if you head towards the Parkway car park in Newbury and instead of turning left for the car park at the mini roundabout, continue straight on (towards the clocktower). You’ll see the Cross Key’s pub on the right and 6a London Road is attached to that building – there is a sign confirming 6a on the building. There is a pay and display car park behind the Cross Keys pub and there is a buzzer you can press for me.

Hi all,

I talk a lot about Liver Qi stagnation with patients. That’s when I needle the point between the big toe and the first toe (amongst other points).

These stretching exercises are fantastic for this - based on Qigong for the Wood element (Liver and Gall Bladder).

Hi All,

I'm sad to say that I've made the decision to close the clinic from today until further notice.

I am fit and healthy, but it is clear that the fit and healthy can pass on the virus even if they are not showing symptoms themselves. I also treat elderly and immune-compromised patients and would never want to risk anyone's health.

Anyone with an existing appointment I will be contacting directly and I will return to treating patients as soon as the situation changes.

Please everyone stay well and I look forward to seeing you when this situation turns around.

I make no secret of the fact that I’ve suffered with anxiety since I was 16 years old - I’ve managed it for many years and tried different treatments, but for me, acupuncture was the turning point. From my own personal experience I found that acupuncture didn’t “cure” my anxiety, for that there is no magic treatment, but it made me feel significantly stronger on the inside to be able to deal with it.
